My cat Leo was an innocent soul.
He used to sleep on the prayer mat and lie close to the Qur’an in silence,
as if searching for a sense of peace that this world failed to give him.

Leo knew nothing about politics or borders.
He only knew warmth, safety, and hunger.
And in this place, where mercy should have been the foundation,
Leo was killed by hunger at the hands of Israel.

An innocent cat who harmed no one,
his life ended simply because he could not find food,
and because cruelty prevailed over humanity.

These photos are not just tender moments;
