One of these events featuring newlyweds is considered a "super spreader" event... and it's not the one where guests have flown in from overseas. Or the one where guests don't actually know one another very well.
One rule for them, another for everyone else.

I wonder if we can have our wedding in a football stadium considering thousands of fans can head to Wembley on Sunday! Weddings must be unrestricted from 21st June. The wait for Monday is unbearable. #whataboutweddings
On Feb 22nd, the Gov't will have the opportunity to include the wedding industry in it's roadmap for safe reopening. If they bypass us yet again, our seasonal industry is destined for collapse. Already a year with no income, we can't manage another #whataboutweddings@scullyp
Oh yes @BorisJohnson, you must remember this little chat. For weddings to be back to normal by summer, we need to know on 22nd Feb how you plan to get us there. #whataboutweddings
Dear @scullyp, when you speak with the weddings task force this week, PLEASE understand this. We are a seasonal industry. Consumer confidence is rock bottom. We are 400k in total contributing BILLIONS to the economy. We deserve more. HELP US. #whataboutweddings
Dear @scullyp, we need you to save our sector. In the next hour, we apologise if your Twitter feed goes a bit bonkers but these are the diverse voices and stories of some of the businesses and couples who are desperate to be included in the 22nd Feb roadmap. #whataboutweddings
@HMRCcustomers coming up to 2 hours on hold to HMRC trying to resolve a query I have on my self assessment. Twice now I've got through to someone who say they cannot help and put me through to another department, only to be put back on hold. This is so infuriating.
Christmas parties for up to 30. What about weddings? Still stuck at 15 guests only. Ceremony and meal only. No dancing. No singing. No reception without a substantial meal. No wonder couples are annoyed! #whataboutweddings
We currently have £19,000 tied up in a day that isn’t allowed to happen. Our wedding insurance doesn’t cover covid(Thanks Boris). A £14 billion industry left to crumble. Forget the couples, love doesn’t stop; it grows. However, venues & suppliers need income! #whataboutweddings
#whataboutweddings My partner and I should have married in April, and the uncertainty about our eventual wedding sucks, but I can’t imagine what it must be like if your livelihood depends on the wedding industry.
We were set to get married 28/11/2020, we took all restrictions on the chin... for nothing. We’ve re-arranged to next November (fingers crossed that can happen), but all the other couples & suppliers between now and then, where’s their roadmap? #whataboutweddings @Number10press
