Does the Qur’an mention Sharia?

Yes. The root of the word appears in the text itself.

“Then We put you on a clear way of the matter (shari‘atin min al-amr); so follow it and do not follow the inclinations of those who do not know.”
- Qur’an 45:18

“To each of you We prescribed a law (shir‘ah) and a method (minhaj).”
- Qur’an 5:48

Definitions:
Shari‘ah / shir‘ah: a prescribed path or law. In the Qur’an it means the divine way or legal code that is to be followed.

Minhaj: a clear method or open way of life that accompanies that law.

The later, fully developed system called “Sharia” (the detailed body of Islamic law covering crime, family, contracts, warfare, and public order) was organized by Muslim jurists using the Qur’an, the Hadith, and scholarly consensus.

But the Qur’an already speaks of a divine law that must be followed and by which people are to be judged.

A convert who claims he has “never heard of Sharia” is lying. He's also the Enemy.

While residents packed the room, U.S. Congressman Keith Self looked the Mayor and City Council dead in the eye and refused to soft-pedal reality.

By the way, take a moment to listen to the crowd irrupt with cheers when they heard it was their congressman!

Self reminded them of 1,400 years of political Islam that cannot be wished away.

He named the UK’s industrial-scale rape gangs: a quarter of a million non-Muslim girls abducted, passed around, and discarded, a deliberate demonstration of dominance over the laws of the land.

He exposed the sickest part: police arresting the victims for “public drunkenness” rather than be called racist or Islamophobic.

Then he brought it home to Texas.

Child marriage. Honor killings. Don’t tell me it can’t happen here because it’s already happened in Texas.

Beating your wife. Polygamy. All condoned under Sharia.

He drove the point home that freedom of conscience does not exist under this system: the penalty for leaving is death.

He cited modern American imams preaching open sedition against the U.S. Constitution.

Then he put the choice squarely on the Council:

“This is your time. This is your moment of truth. This is your time for choosing.
This is your time to choose to honor your oath that starts with the U.S. Constitution.

There is no state cavalry coming to save you. This is your time.”

Congressman Self has been fighting this fight with everything he has to protect Texas from the march of Islamic supremacy.

Tonight he stood in McKinney and spoke for every Texan who still believes the Constitution is not optional.

It is so incredible to watch so many Heroes who have have risen.

Now the leaders must decide whose side they are on.

One of the imams at the mosque mocks Christanity saying that they can't get normal people into the church so they open the door to LGBT. That same imam said "we are taking over New York City" as he led the outdoor prayer at Times Square.

Another man tells me "inshallah islam will take over the west."
