Yesterday I authorized the transfer of about 70 parcels of vacant city-owned land to minority developers building affordable housing through City Council's Turn The Key program.

These homes will be deeply affordable at about $185,000 each and are targeted to first-time homebuyers looking to achieve the American dream of homeownership.

In one go, we're bringing affordable housing online in a neighborhood in desperate need of it, uplifting Black and brown developers who understand what equitable development looks like, and using our publically owned vacant land for good!
