@stephan72790281 Consider leaving it to nonprofits that align with your values- I lead an environmental nonprofit and orgs like ours are really worried about the next few years.
Rosenberg: What’s really important, Ben, and we talked a lot about this in 2022, is that everyone watching today needs to realize it’s very important to vote early. Vote as early as you can. When you vote early, you come off the GOTV rolls for the campaign. They know each night who’s voted—not how you voted, but that you voted.
When you come off the GOTV roles, it allows the campaign to focus on lower propensity voters quicker. If they can reach lower propensity voters sooner, it’s more likely they’ll vote for us. So, by voting early, you can actually increase Democratic turnout and make it more likely we win.
If you have a choice between voting on Election Day or near Election Day, and voting right now, vote now. It’s more important to vote now and try to run up the score in October, as we did in 2022, and win this election in early voting rather than waiting until Election Day.
@BethMansfield Great summary. Apparently, my name was invoked in a rant last month. My response was just what you wrote here, although perhaps with laughter & a few more f-bombs. I'm in the room because I worked hard to get here - it wasn't just some random invitation that fell out of the sky
@SecretaryPete What about airlines that canceled flights during COVID, gave short windows within which to use nonrefundable credits, and kept the money when the pandemic was still raging and we felt it was not safe to travel? Seems recent enough that this could be addressed too.
@emilykmay Seriously, game gonna get so sloppy now.
I played OH and MB in HS/college, and often was the setter for adult league play. So many rules have changed since I played, and the game is faster, but less artful.
Bird nests made from anti-bird spikes! 🤯 Even for me as a nest researcher, these are the craziest bird nests I've ever seen. Today my paper came out on this rebellious behaviour. And it's like telling a joke...
A thread. 🧵
@BrndnStrssng When I was a kid, my dad owned rental film cameras, and I thought it was pretty badass that they had to refuse to rent to The A Team production crew because they were notorious for wrecking cameras. #strangetrivia
@KathWertheim I think about that scandal and this same point a lot as I watch what's going on nowadays. Certain photos, I say, "that's one for the history books!"
