We’ve been talking about reptiles and how they shed their skin when they grow. The kids painted a snake earlier this week and have been waiting patiently for them to dry. Finally, they got to shed their snakes skin. 🐍 @MatthewMillerpe

This month Team Goad is studying animals, and today we were animal detectives. Our challenge was to find the 14 animal track prints around the building and match it to the correct animal. 🐾 @MatthewMillerpe

Today our Community Helper was a Fire Firefighter. The challenge was to work as a team to build a ladder with only the materials given to save the family. @MatthewMillerpe

Team Goad practiced our surgical skills today. Each group was given a monster with an upset tummy. Their challenge was to retrieve everything from their monster with their tweezers. @MatthewMillerpe

Team Goad has been studying community helpers this month. The challenge: You are a team of construction workers. Together can you build a 30 cup, 20 stick structure that can safely hold a dinosaur? 🦕 🦖 @MatthewMillerpe

Today was our first STEM day. We’ve been discussing morning STEM bins and the procedures on how to use them. The kids have been waiting patiently to use them, and today was the day! ❤️

First Grade got to meet a very special author today. Mrs. Maguire wrote a book called Wormy Story all about the importance of Self-Esteem. The kids loved the story and were excited to have their own class book.
