@mathillustrated Going through my things as I retired last year, I found that what I was teaching in 6th grade then was what I taught in 8th grade 15 years ago. 15 years ago students understood the concepts at most MS grade levels and were ready for HS.

@Millikenmoon It is precisely this that helped me to decide to retire. Not saying my admin was like this, however this is what society expects - educate our children but we don’t need to ensure teachers are paid a living wage!

@wave3news I have had 3 packages that have never been delivered or delivered to the wrong address in the last 8 months. FedEx returned one call and gave me the address where the package was left. When I asked why they delivered to the wrong address, they had to explanation!

Our 5 y/o tripped on a massive Belk clothing display tonight. It fell over and knocked down at least 12 more, domino style, until the chaos ended at the far wall of the store. A life-size Nutcracker laid in the middle of the destruction. It’s the most wonderful time of the year.
