Jesus gave only one category of signs before the Abomination of Desolation — Birth Pangs. Not timelines. Not charts. Not temples. Not red heifers. Not political treaties. Only deception, division, distress, and coldness of love. These are not countdown markers; they are spiritual diagnostics revealing who is awake and who is already deceived.

THE BIRTH PANGS ARE THE ONLY SIGNS BEFORE THE ABOMINATION

Jesus did not give a list of geopolitical events to track.
He did not give a timeline to calculate.
He did not give a chart to decode.

He gave warnings, not predictions.
He gave conditions, not countdowns.
He gave discernment, not dates.

The only signs leading up to the Abomination of Desolation are the Birth Pangs — the spiritual atmosphere of the last generation.

Everything else is deception.

THE FIRST BIRTH PANG — DECEPTION

This is the first and greatest warning:

“Take heed that no man deceive you.”

Before wars.
Before famines.
Before pestilence.
Before earthquakes.

Deception comes first.

This is why Jesus repeated it:

• “Many shall come in my name… and shall deceive many.”
• “Many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”
• “If it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
• “Take heed lest any man deceive you.”
• “Let no man deceive you by any means.”
• “Little children, let no man deceive you.”

The first birth pang is the flood of deception, not the rise of Antichrist.

This is the sign that the generation is entering the final hour.

This is why the Spirit is calling the church to discernment.

THE SECOND BIRTH PANG — FALSE CHRISTS AND FALSE PROPHETS

Not one false Christ.
Not one false prophet.
Many.

They rise in:
• pulpits
• movements
• media
• ministries
• online platforms
• prophetic circles

They perform:
• signs
• wonders
• visions
• dreams
• manifestations

But their fruit is deception.

They promise:
• escape
• ease
• prosperity
• self‑exaltation
• spiritual shortcuts

They are the forerunners of the Abomination — not because they predict him, but because they prepare the world to accept him.

This is why Jesus said:

“Be not deceived.”

This is the second birth pang.

THE THIRD BIRTH PANG — WARS AND RUMORS OF WARS

Jesus said:

“Ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars.”

Not world war.
Not a specific war.
Not a prophetic war.

Just wars — everywhere.
And rumors — constant, unending, multiplying.

This is not a countdown.
This is a condition.

The world enters a state of:
• instability
• fear
• polarization
• nationalism
• conflict

But Jesus said:

“The end is not yet.”

Wars are not the sign of the end —
they are the sign of the birth pangs.

THE FOURTH BIRTH PANG — FAMINES

Famines are not new.
But in the last days, they become:
• widespread
• systemic
• engineered
• weaponized
• global

The world sees economics.
Heaven sees the black horse.

This is the fourth birth pang —
the scarcity that exposes the heart.

THE FIFTH BIRTH PANG — PESTILENCES

Jesus said pestilences would rise in the last days.

Not one.
Not a single pandemic.
Not a single outbreak.

Pestilences — plural.

The world sees disease.
Heaven sees the pale horse.

This is the fifth birth pang —
the fear that tests faith.

THE SIXTH BIRTH PANG — EARTHQUAKES IN MANY PLACES

Earthquakes are not the sign of the end —
they are the sign of the beginning.

Jesus said:

“Earthquakes in divers places.”

Not one catastrophic quake.
Not a prophetic quake.
Not a specific region.

Just many, everywhere, increasing in frequency and intensity.

The world sees natural disaster.
Heaven sees the foundations shaking before the final shaking.

This is the sixth birth pang.

THE SEVENTH BIRTH PANG — THE LOVE OF MANY GROWING COLD

This is the most devastating sign of all.

Not war.
Not famine.
Not pestilence.
Not earthquakes.

Coldness.

Jesus said:

“Because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.”

This is the sign that the church is entering the final hour:
• compassion dies
• mercy fades
• forgiveness disappears
• humility is mocked
• holiness is despised
• truth is hated
• pride is celebrated
• self becomes god

Coldness is the final birth pang —
the spiritual climate that precedes the Abomination.

This is why the Spirit is calling the remnant to endurance.

ALL THESE ARE THE BEGINNING OF SORROWS

Jesus said:

“All these are the beginning of sorrows.”

Not the end.
Not the tribulation.
Not the Abomination.
Not the Sixth Seal.

The birth pangs are the only signs leading up to the Abomination of Desolation.

They are not prophetic markers.
They are spiritual warnings.

They do not tell you when the Abomination will appear.
They tell you how the world will be when it does.

THE BIRTH PANGS PREPARE THE WORLD FOR THE ABOMINATION

The birth pangs create:
• a deceived church
• a divided world
• a fearful population
• a cold society
• a spiritually blind generation

This is the perfect environment for the man of sin to be revealed.

The birth pangs do not point to him —
they prepare the world to receive him.

This is why Jesus said:

“Take heed.”

Not to predict the hour —
but to avoid deception in the hour.

THE CALL TO THE REMNANT

The Spirit is calling the remnant to:
• Watch in the birth pangs
• Discern deception
• Guard love from growing cold
• Prepare for the Abomination

For the birth pangs are here —
and the Abomination will come suddenly.

The verse quoted out-of-context the most in the New Testament, perhaps even the entire Bible, is Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through him who strengthens me." We read it today in Bible in One Year.

Often, people use it to mean, “With Jesus, I can achieve anything. Win the game. Get the promotion. Reach my dreams.” As the quip goes, “I can do all things through a verse taken out of context.”

What is Paul really talking about? Remember the #1 rule of biblical interpretation: Context. So, back up one verse: “I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need” (Phil. 4:12).

Then comes verse 13: “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”

The Greek helps clarify Paul’s meaning. In verse 12, Paul uses forms of the Greek root πᾶς (pas/panta) twice in the phrase “in any and every circumstance” (ἐν παντὶ καὶ ἐν πᾶσιν). Then, in verse 13, he uses the same root again: “I can do all things” (πάντα).

The “all things” of verse 13 is defined by the “any and every circumstance” of verse 12.

Paul is not saying, “Christ gives me power to accomplish every dream imaginable.” He is saying, “In all these circumstances, hungry or well-fed, free or imprisoned, Christ gives me strength to endure.”

This fits the larger context of Philippians as well. Paul is writing as a suffering apostle who has endured beatings, imprisonments, hardship, and uncertainty. Yet he has learned “the secret” of contentment: resting in Christ, relying on his mercy and strength.

Can Christians apply this verse to their own lives? Of course! It is the verse to focus our contentment on Christ—not us, not our wishes, not our dreams—but on him alone. The verse reminds us that everything in this life, except Jesus, is subject to change, failure, and loss.

Jesus, however, will not lose us or abandon us. Finding contentment and stability in him keeps us going, whether our lives are smooth sailing or a dumpster fire.

As Paul says earlier in the letter, “For me to live is Christ” (1:21). Amen.

Tonight, Labour rammed through a last‑minute switch in the Lords so that if Andy Burnham wins Makerfield and quits as Greater Manchester Mayor, his replacement won’t be chosen on a simple first‑past‑the‑post ballot, but on the supplementary vote system instead.

Why now?

Because Labour knows the race to replace Burnham would be a straight two‑horse fight with Reform UK – and under FPTP, the candidate with the most votes wins, no second chances, no back‑room redistributions, no “stop Reform” stitch‑ups.

Under SV, Labour gets a second bite of the cherry: if their candidate can limp into the top two, they can hoover up second preferences from every other party and magic a “majority” on the second count, even if Reform tops the poll on first preferences.

22 YEARS LATER AND NOBODY HAS ANSWERED FOR WHAT HAPPENED TO DR DAVID KELLY

His name was Dr David Kelly. Most people have forgotten him. They shouldn't.

He was a quiet, mild-mannered scientist who spent his career inspecting weapons facilities around the world.

He knew more about Iraq's arsenal than almost anyone alive.

In 2003, Tony Blair's @InstituteGC government published a dossier claiming Saddam Hussein could deploy chemical weapons within 45 minutes. That claim was used to justify a war.

Kelly knew the intelligence behind it was being exaggerated. He said so, privately, to a @BBCNews journalist.

That one conversation destroyed his life.

The government found out he was the source. Instead of protecting a man who had served his country for decades, they quietly let his name reach the press. He was publicly identified, dragged before two parliamentary committees, and grilled by his own employer.

His wife said he came home a broken man.

On the afternoon of 17 July 2003, he left his house for a walk in the Oxfordshire countryside. He was 59 years old. He never came back.

His body was found the next morning in woodland. A knife beside him. A blister pack of painkillers nearby.

Here is where it gets worse.

Tony Blair personally intervened to replace the normal coroner's inquest with a private inquiry run by Lord Hutton.

The original inquest was suspended before it even properly began. It was never resumed. To this day,

Dr David Kelly is the only person in England and Wales in living memory to have died in unexplained circumstances without receiving a full coroner's inquest.

Lord Hutton concluded suicide. Case closed.

Except eight senior doctors and a former coroner wrote to @thetimes saying the verdict was medically unsafe.

The wound found on Kelly's wrist, a severed ulnar artery, would not cause fatal blood loss in a healthy person.

There were no fingerprints on the knife. The painkillers found were not in a quantity that experts considered lethal.

The government's response, delivered by Attorney General Dominic Grieve in 2011, was essentially: the Hutton Inquiry was good enough, stop asking questions.

Think about that. A man quietly raised concerns about the biggest political deception in modern British history, a war that led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. He was publicly exposed, professionally destroyed, and found dead days later and the government personally made sure there would never be a proper independent investigation into how he died.

Tony Blair went on to become a Middle East Peace Envoy. He has a knighthood.

Dr David Kelly got a private inquiry, a rushed verdict, and a sealed post-mortem report that was not released to the public for years.

Nobody was ever held accountable. Not for any of it.

Jesus Himself taught this prayer.

Millions recite it every day.

You are asking God to establish His reign in your life, even if it means removing the things that keep you from Him.

His will.

These may be the most challenging words in the entire prayer.

We ask God to forgive us in the same measure that we forgive others.

“Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”

Because the battle for the soul is real.

And no one reaches Heaven alone.

The Our Father is not merely a prayer.

It is a surrender.

It is a declaration of trust.

It is a roadmap to holiness given by Christ Himself.

The next time you pray it, do not rush.

Pray every word as if you mean it.

Because Jesus did not teach us empty words.

He taught us how to speak to God.
