Extended interview: Former Nebraska senator Ben Sasse has metastatic pancreatic cancer. He spoke with 60 Minutes' Scott Pelley about where America has been and where it could still go.
Genuinely cannot count how many times I have watched this today...while wearing the National Championship t-shirt that resulted two games later. #LetsGoDuke 'Tis the season ๐๐
So - I've actually led Ebola outbreak response at @USAID.
This is bunk from Elon. They have laid off most of the experts, they're bankrupting most of the partner orgs, have withdrawn from WHO, and muzzled CDC.
What's left is a fig-leaf effort to cover their asses politically.
Make a huge mistake. Then make a false claim about how you fixed it.
They did it for PEPFAR.
Now Ebola.
I follow this particular topic VERY closely, so here's what really happened and why this isn't true AT ALL...๐งต

@EdKrassen In a society where allergic children are bullied by deliberate exposure to their allergen (google it), mocking a life threatening illness is not funny and serves to minimize danger. You wouldnโt have a blind person forget he couldnโt see and step into trafficโno difference.
@KidneyCancer@MDAndersonNews Dr Tannir has been my doc for 15 years. Congrats to him and thanks for every bit of energy, wisdom, compassion, and strategy that he has poured into my care in those years.
@EKHyland I suppose that was supposed to sound bold and faithful. But instead he diminishes a human being, made in and reflecting the image of God. How is this the narrative of the church?
@AriMelber My allergic daughter canโt eat any other pastas; it has been a godsend. Usually only she eats it (it is expensive and not as good, for sure). But sometimes I make it for the whole fam and it is fine tasting. Health benefits are a nice plus.
