my original thesis was that @monad is solana on the evm.

i was wrong. L1s win (or fail) on their own merits. the edge for monad is a maximalist view of the potential of the underlying tech:
> consistent / long horizon frontier execution on infra (MEV, <200ms blocktimes etc.)
> that max the amount of lego blocks
> on the most widely used (most AI adaptable) VM
> w/ both degen / hand written thank you note (things that don't scale) culture (s/o $JAMES, @keoneHD)

this makes the creation of net new "breakout" applications (both consumer / b2b) both likely, as well as unpredictable.

where i'd like it to be more like $SOL
> builders who care about other builders winning (s/o @ThogardPvP)
> competition / responsiveness / urgency at the edge of the attention curve (s/o @1stBenjaNAD)

the above is why when
1) people making things ask for help or
2) memes have a chance to break out

i'm quick to respond / act loudly. selfishly, when whole ecosystem wins, i win.

it took me a while to understand this:

as a builder, it’s on me to create value for my community and my project.

we used to blame the circumstances and say, “monad should do this. monad should do that.”

but somewhere along the way, i realized we’re the ones holding the wheel.

i’m not here waiting for favors. i’m not here asking for support. i’ll rather earn it than beg.

through the work. through consistency. through showing up every single day and steering this project in the direction that creates the most value for the people who believe in chog.

i know where i want chog to go, and i’m going to do everything in my power to get it there.

fudders can fud.
haters can hate.
doubters can doubt.

we’ll keep building, we’ll keep showing up.

nothing is going to stop chog from reaching the top now.
