I’m not saying a pastor’s sermon needed to be about Charlie. I’m saying Americans are consumed with a massive Christian tragedy and global stir-up and need pastoral guidance.
A pastor who did not understand that yesterday is strangely ignorant or afraid.
I’m grateful every day for this job, but particularly today where my official duties have brought me to Rome on Good Friday. I had a great meeting with Prime Minister Meloni and her team, and will head to church soon with my family in this beautiful city.
I wish all Christians all over the world, but particularly those back home in the US, a blessed Good Friday.
He died so that we might live.
The bird flu is not an emergency. There are always sick animals because our food system encourages unhealthy breeding practices and cultivation. Heck, there is a disease risk with household pets. The purpose of emergency declarations is to manipulate the prices of products AND to undermine the Constitution. The only takeaway from the current hysteria is that millions of smaller farms across America should supply local communities. Oh, and don't trust the government.
This is a dark day in American history and I fear we are not grasping the gravity of the situation. Two assassination attempts in two months. It’s unacceptable.
Your ideals and beliefs should never present a threat to your life in the United States of America.
We are in the midst of a severe moral and spiritual crisis in this nation. This cannot be the society our children and grandchildren inherit.
I am praying that God will grant us the fortitude and wisdom to navigate ourselves out of it. I’d ask that all of you join me in those prayers today.
He is Risen!
Because he lives, I can face tomorrow
Because he lives, all fear is gone
Because I know he holds the future
And life is worth the living
Just because HE LIVES
