Status report for iTunes 12.2: Melo can scrobble your local songs, but it doesn’t support Apple Music.

[Melo @meloformac]

@zackehh_ When you play a track on Mac Melo will still generate device plays.

[Melo @meloformac]

@zackehh_ I’m sorry I missed it. Not right now. I'll check how easy it is to add that option in a future update.

[Melo @meloformac]

@zackehh_ Thank you for the kind words!

[Melo @meloformac]

@mr_ozio Yes.

[Melo @meloformac]

@randybruder Paste this into Terminal: `defaults write fi.mmrr.Melo hideMenuBarIcon -bool true`.

[Melo @meloformac]

@qrtzcntrl I’d appreciate it if you could mail your specific setup and the issues to [email protected].

[Melo @meloformac]

@qrtzcntrl Thank you for the kind words. Enjoy Melo, and feel free to let me know if you have any issues.

[Melo @meloformac]

@qrtzcntrl It should if I recall correctly. If it stops working, l’d pick the real location. Theoretically that should have fewer issues.

[Melo @meloformac]

@qrtzcntrl In Melo 1.2 you can choose the library location in Preferences.

[Melo @meloformac]

@qrtzcntrl Does Melo catch up if you quit it, play a few songs to completion, and launch Melo again?

[Melo @meloformac]

@qrtzcntrl If they are not, make sure that iTunes syncs play counts from your device.

[Melo @meloformac]

@qrtzcntrl Make sure Melo is checking the correct XML. If local plays are scrobbled, so should be plays from devices.

[Melo @meloformac]

@qrtzcntrl Option-click works the same way. :-) If it didn’t work, something else might be preventing it.

[Melo @meloformac]

@qrtzcntrl As soon as iTunes syncs play counts from the device.

[Melo @meloformac]

@qrtzcntrl Hi! You can option-click menu bar icon to scan iTunes library for plays.
