@fancythatju @halsey there’s a huge difference. other critics were able to make a review (positive or negative) of the album without discrediting her experience as a new mom facing illness and near death. and a critic you HAVE to be empathetic to understand a body of work. he is not.

@fancythatju @halsey julia, it doesnt matter if it’s not a popular album. his job as a critique is to both judge objective qualities of the work and relate them to the intention and message of the artist. instead he decided to belittle a woman’s own experience and the fact that she expressed them.
