I'm (briefly) coming out of Twitter retirement to share this farewell post on my departure from wine writing: https://t.co/PqmX79KHbC. As you'll see on my blog, I'm an astrologer now! And I'm mostly just blogging on #astrology these days. #yegwine
Checking in on Twitter again after several months. Holy shit things really got even worse here. It's almost like this platform is designed to trigger you in seconds and then keep triggering you as you doomscroll for hours. K bye!
Just popping in with an update: I'm now doing astrology consultations, details are on my site. Oh and I just did a post on celebrity wines that I think is pretty fun. (TL;DR: Snoop Dogg's wine is bad.) #yegwine#astrology https://t.co/w4xtZ8GCLZ
Goodbye Twitter: I'm leaving you. It's not me; it's definitely you. You are a toxic, partisan cesspool and I have wasted too much time and energy on you. I'll miss some of the memes tho.
Alright, I stand corrected thanks to the City's clarification - apparently we are able to process all this stuff, SO I rescind my suggestion that this is fucking stupid.
We better not find out in a few years that this was all a lie (again).
So #yeg residents will be separating our waste but it's not clear where the organics will go since our municipal composter was shut down last year and won't be replaced until at least 2025. Are we separating waste for 4 years but having it all ultimately go to the dump? #yegcc
I support waste streaming and composting. I compost most of my organic waste already in my backyard composters. But if the city is just going to dump all bins into the dump until our composting facility is back up to capacity, then rolling this out now is fucking stupid.
I'd like to see more clarity and transparency on exactly where #yeg's organic waste is going to go over the next few years, especially with our recent colossal failures in this area. #yegcc@doniveson
This is a great story on #naturalwine that quietly pushes back against the more alienating parts of that movement. I am sad that these wines are not available in Alberta. #yegwine#wine https://t.co/idPoVle1tM
My latest for Edify is a piece on predictions for wine trends in 2021. It's probably dumb to make any predictions about anything but hey! Why not. https://t.co/INTlUN0s2k #yegwine#wine#winetrends
Natural wine: I like the philosophy but I have a hard time liking the actual wine. I reviewed the Koppitsch Perspektive Rot and reflected on a real weird wine tasting in my latest blog post: https://t.co/OooYi6XFQA #yegwine#naturalwine#wine#Austrianwine#winereview
