The cases should have either continued such that Trump or his AG were forced to be the ones to shut them down, or at the very least suspended rather than dismissed outright. This is the worst possible outcome for the rule of law.
In the wave of necessary post-election analysis, don’t forget the following:
We witnessed attacks on the 2020 election for four years, despite repeated failed attempts to stand up any of those attacks with data or evidence. And then the country holds an election two weeks ago, with many of the very same voting methods and laws and election officials that were systematically undermined, and,
with a different outcome, the attacks disappear.
(One exception is where the outcome was not favorable: see Eric Hovde’s “many people have reached out” attacks on his senate race, though no questions regarding the outcome of the presidential race in Wisconsin).
The damage to confidence in the election system is long-term. The rationale, however, proved fleeting and is now further exposed for what it was.
Twice America has put up a woman for president, and twice (it's now highly probable) Trump has beaten them. Sobering lesson on the reality of today's America.
Interesting how it's always "vote according to Biblical values!" until it comes to welcoming the immigrant, helping the poor, feeding the hungry, bringing healthcare to the sick, forgiving debts, caring for our planet, laying down our swords, or loving our neighbors.
Donald Trump closes by calling Nancy Pelosi "an evil, sick, crazy b-.” (Trump mouthed the last word. “It starts with a ‘B’ but I won’t say it. I wanna say it!”)
JD Vance closes by calling Kamala Harris "trash."
If you're voting for Trump-Vance, this is who you're voting for.
America could wake up on Wednesday with all three branches of our government — the — Executive, Legislative, and Judicial — Trumpist.
With this clip, take five minutes to ponder Germany’s memorials and the price that nation paid for being bamboozled by a bombastic autocrat. Listen to the heartfelt message of my German tour guides, for whom these memorials are like ghosts of mistakes made and evils allowed… ghosts that haunt their society still. These are the same guides who clink glasses in the beer halls and yodel from the hilltops with our American tour members. They admire America. They love America. And they are worried for America.
If we vote for fascism, it’ll likely be won by one or two percent (or even less)…and perhaps just a few stadiums of people will tip the balance. And history has taught my European friends that the cost of a course correction is infinitely more heartbreaking after a wannabe dictator wins an election than before. We are all participants, we are all responsible, and we will all bear the consequences of our collective choice.
How is it that we have fallen so far. This cannot be even a fraction of our country, can it? How on earth has this man captivated so many? Please help me understand. I fear many of us are just lost.
Many thanks to @RickSteves for his thoughtful, wise and courageous leadership. We fellow travelers stand with you, Rick. Those who do not learn from history are destined to repeat it! Your lessons are a treasure to us all.
Many don’t realize that the first people Hitler sent to his concentration camps weren’t everyday Jewish citizens, but his political opponents. So, when Trump rants about retribution, locking up his opponents, and giving them “very long sentences,” I can’t help but take him seriously… because history teaches us that is what fascist dictators do during their “Day One” period to consolidate their power. (After all, if you’re hellbent on staying in power but aren’t likely to win the next election, you can’t have your political opponents running around free.)
To keep fascism out of our lives, vote for democracy!
I and twenty-two other Nobel economists signed a letter endorsing Kamala Harris for President.
We believe Harris's policies will result in a stronger economic performance, with economic growth that is more robust, more sustainable, and more equitable.

BREAKING: All those polls you're seeing are coming from media conglomerates owned by Right-Wing billionaires who want to demoralize you or myopic outlets who need a horse race until the end.
Just keep your head down and do the good work.
We're gonna do this.
Excellent points by Joy Reid. Polling is a manipulation of the electorate. Trumpists will you these highly questionable polls to say the election was stolen and recreate January 6th. Don’t listen just vote!
PAY ATTENTION TO THIS—BECAUSE WE ARE BEING PLAYED
Have you noticed Trump has suddenly surged in the polls?
Republicans are gaming the polls, and there may be a more sinister motive than you’re thinking: Leading up to Election Day, it will look like his victory is inevitable, but when he loses, it will fuel outrage that the election was stolen.
This is a prelude to Insurrection 2.0.
These six minutes need to be shared with everyone.
Much appreciation to Jake Tapper for properly reporting on Trump’s fascist threat to use the U.S. military against American citizens, which has not generated the coverage elsewhere that it is due.
