The rest of the independent territories were forced together by the British Empire in 1910, to create the then colonial, "Union of South Africa".
This oppressive centralised system has created many problems over the last century, and ALL the inhabitants of all cultures and races of "South Africa" will be better off with more decentralisation, or independence.
We are simply calling for an end to this false political construct that was imposed on us by force by the British Empire.
The Cape of Good Hope governed itself independently for almost 300 years, before 1910.

Closing Campfire – Plant the Seeds
The fire had become a bed of glowing coals.
Above the Chihuahua desert, the stars stretched from one horizon to the other, as if the sky itself were another great library waiting to be read.
Salty Desert Dawg poured the last cup of coffee and looked around at the pups.
"No story truly ends," he said quietly.
"It simply becomes the beginning of someone else's."
The pups sat with their notebooks resting on their knees.
No one hurried to close them.
The old Chihuahua smiled.
"There is an old saying often shared in many parts of the world."
'The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago. The second-best time is today.'
He picked up a tiny mesquite seed from the desert floor and placed it gently in the smallest pup's paw.
"A story is much like this seed."
"It doesn't become shade the day you plant it."
"It doesn't become shelter overnight."
"It asks for patience."
"For care."
"For seasons."
The pup looked closely at the tiny seed.
"It seems so small."
Dawg nodded.
"So do acts of kindness."
"So do honest apologies."
"So does writing down one lesson before going to sleep."
He pointed toward the desert.
"Permaculture teaches us something beautiful."
"You don't fight the land."
"You learn from it."
"You observe the sun."
"You respect the water."
"You plant for those who will walk here long after you're gone."
He smiled toward the little notebooks.
"Wisdom grows the same way."
"Observe."
"Record."
"Reflect."
"Share."
Then let time do the quiet work."
The fire crackled softly.
"Some of you will grow gardens."
"Some will build bridges."
"Some will teach."
"Some will heal."
"Some will invent tools."
"And some will simply listen when another soul needs to be heard."
He looked into the glowing coals.
"None of those gifts are small."
The desert breeze carried the scent of creosote through the camp.
The old Chihuahua closed his notebook.
"I don't know whether the Invisible Library will ever have walls."
"I don't know what technology will look like in fifty years."
"But I do know this."
"If enough ordinary people preserve what life has honestly taught them..."
"...future generations will inherit more than information."
"They will inherit wisdom."
The pups stood together.
Each slipped a notebook into a pocket beside a small seed.
Neither looked impressive.
Both carried forests yet unseen.
Dawg tipped his dusty hat toward the rising moon.
"Dream boldly."
"Write honestly."
"Plant generously."
"Leave the world a little wiser than you found it."
The fire settled into quiet embers.
The night grew still.
Somewhere beyond the desert, another campfire was being lit.
Another story was beginning.
Another seed was finding the soil.
And somewhere, perhaps many years from now, someone would rest beneath the shade of a tree they never planted—grateful that someone else believed tomorrow was worth preparing for.

A 49-year-old man was shot multiple times during a home invasion in the Erasmusrand area of Pretoria (east/south of the city center) shortly before 02:00 this morning, 3 August 2026.
Paramedics from Emer-G-Med arrived to find him with multiple gunshot wounds. Advanced Life Support crews stabilized him on scene, but the injuries were so severe that an aeromedical helicopter had to be scrambled. He was airlifted to a specialist trauma hospital and is currently fighting for his life.
Police are investigating the home invasion and shooting. No further details have been released; no name of the victim, no description of the attackers, no word on whether anything was stolen, and no confirmation of his condition beyond “critically injured / fighting for his life.”
That’s it. Another "number" just gunned down in his own house in the early hours, another emergency helicopter scrambling, another family now sitting in a trauma unit praying, and the usual silence and “investigation ongoing” from SAPS.
This is the daily reality under the ANC; people shot to pieces in their homes while the political class lectures about “crime is just crime” and “nothing racial about it.” Erasmusrand is not a farm, not a remote smallholding, it’s a residential suburb in Pretoria. The violence doesn’t stay in the remote areas. It follows people into any area in South Africa.

The Great Lockdown Records Cover-Up: When Ministers Play Hide-and-Seek with Court Orders
South Africa faced one of the world’s harshest COVID lockdowns. Tobacco and alcohol were banned. The economy was kneecapped. Millions of jobs vanished. Small businesses were crushed. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma signed the disaster declarations.
Years later the government still withholds full decision-making records. Sakeliga has pursued them for nearly six years. Court orders have been ignored or only partially met. Ministers change; the files remain locked.
This is not mere foot-dragging. It shows how power avoids accountability for painful, controversial and economically damaging decisions.
Timeline
December 2020: Sakeliga files a PAIA request for all reports, deliberations, advice, emails and minutes behind the state of disaster, its extensions and lockdown rules. Refused.
August 2021: Sakeliga approaches the Pretoria High Court.
9 November 2022: Court orders full disclosure. Deadline set.
December 2022: Only a thin index of public documents and some tobacco-ban papers arrives. Key deliberative records are missing. Sakeliga alleges contempt.
January 2023: Contempt process begins; jail is possible.
March 2023: Cabinet reshuffle. Thembi Nkadimeng replaces Dlamini-Zuma at COGTA. Proceedings pause.
2023–early 2024: Stonewalling continues. Both the new minister and Dlamini-Zuma (personally) are joined in the contempt application.
January 2024: Formal High Court contempt application filed.
September–October 2024: Case becomes opposed. Government claims records cannot be fully located because the former minister acted. Dlamini-Zuma files a two-page affidavit claiming compliance. Sakeliga rejects it.
2025: Case still in progress under new minister Velenkosini Hlabisa, also joined personally. Critical 2020 extension records remain outstanding.
August 2026: Nearly six years after the PAIA request and almost four years after the court order, the full deliberative record is still not public.
Accountability delayed is accountability denied. When the state can make life-altering decisions in secret and treat court orders as optional, something is broken. Sakeliga continues to push. The people who lost livelihoods deserve the paper trail.

The ANC's fixation on Expropriation Without Compensation is the ultimate, irreversible exposure of its complete ideological bankruptcy.
After 30 years in power, they have completely run out of ideas, solutions, and time.
When a liberation movement can no longer grow an economy, create jobs, or fix the infrastructure it broke, it always retreats to the lowest common denominator: raw, unadulterated populism.
Expropriation Without Compensation is the final refuge of a dying political party that has failed at everything else.
The ANC spent three decades claiming it wanted to build a modern, inclusive, constitutional democracy. Yet, in its desperate bid to survive politically, it has completely abandoned modern economics to embrace a 1970s Marxist-Leninist fantasy.
This isn't about historical justice or helping the poor. If the ANC actually cared about land reform, it would have handed over title deeds for state owned land years ago.
Instead, it wants the state to own everything. It wants citizens to be permanent tenants of the ruling party.
This is peak ideological decay, they are trying to out-populist the EFF by stealing its worst ideas.
Instead of competing on economic growth, innovation, or efficiency, the ANC is competing on who can destroy property rights fastest. It is a race to the bottom.
