Constitution Amendmend Bill No.3 Clause 8 Now Clause 9.The amendment proposes changing the life of Parliament from 5 years to 7 years.
Current rule, Parliament (the National Assembly and Senate) serves for 5 years before elections are held.
Proposed, Parliament would serve for 7 years instead of 5 years.
Even though another part of the Constitution normally limits how long elected officials stay in office, the Senate and National Assembly would continue serving under the new 7 year term if this amendment becomes law.
Constitution would be amended to extend the term of Parliament from 5 years to 7 years,and it adds a legal provision to ensure the Senate and National Assembly remain in office for that new term. #CA3 zvaendwaa!!
