@toly This. We forked percolator and this is exactly how we see it, shared risk infrastructure benefits everyone, the real competition is in pricing and asset discovery. Excited to upstream what we find along the way.
H should already do that. If everyone has the same haircut MMs should be willing to enter and offer a haircut adjusted price to match users without risking their capital. So market should clear without an admin. If the asset or oracle can’t be trusted, there isn’t much you can do besides isolation.
This is our public announcement regarding how the Pump fun BIP fund will be utilized if we win.
When Toly released Percolator, it could not be extensively tested due to insufficient usage. As Meme Liquid, we forked Percolator and integrated it into our own system, allowing us to actively test it. During this process, we identified several issues and are continuing our efforts to resolve them.
The full $250,000 reward will be allocated to increasing the adoption of the Percolator program in conjunction with Meme Liquid. In this context, we plan to organize multiple trading competitions to encourage users to experience Percolator, while also using the feedback gathered to further improve the Meme Liquid platform.
Even if Meme Liquid does not win this fund, these competitions will still be carried out using a budget allocated from the project treasury. With the V2 launch, multiple trading competitions will be initiated on Meme Liquid.
As you know, V1 has already been released. We’re not LARPing, we’re actively building. We’re currently working on V2, and we’re taking extra time to ensure everything is solid, which is why there’s a delay. Our goal is to deliver the best possible user experience and make Percolator the most widely used protocol.
Stay $LIQUID
Totally agree, market makers should be able to handle haircuts and clear the market without admin intervention. To make this work effectively, we’ll need to increase usage, which we plan to do through a trading competition. We’ll also thoroughly test and verify that it actually works. Isolation will remain the fallback if the asset or oracle can’t be trusted.
