Big Muscles Whey: Label says 76.5g protein. Lab found 26.1g. (66% deficit)
Big Muscles Vegan: Label says 81.3g. Lab found 19.4g. (76% deficit)
Protinex: Worst pharmaceutical performer. 3.43g hidden fructose.
Amway Nutrilite: Worst plant-based protein tested.
Ensure Plus (Abbott): Among worst pharmaceutical performers.

70% of 36 supplements tested were lying about protein content.
75% contained lead.

This is how it works here, you question a brand and the first thing that shows up isn't a rebuttal, it's a cease and desist. It's not the data that scares them, it's someone saying it somewhere people can actually hear it

16 people dead from milk and I keep thinking about the fact that FSSAI's own data shows a 60% inspector vacancy rate. there are states where one officer covers millions of people, barely pretending.
Thousands of adulteration cases every year, FSSAI's own numbers, and the deaths make the headline but the empty chairs that caused them never do. Nobody's running "60% of food safety positions unfilled" as breaking news because it doesn't have a body count yet. Well now it does..

Love that you're actually posting the gazette, nobody reads these things which is kind of the whole problem.
What's missing from this "new" amendment is any actual numerical limits for chemicals leaching from packaging into food. We literally wrote a regulation that describes the problem without solving it and called it progress

But here's what's infuriating: while everyone debates tea bag particles, stuff that's ACTUALLY peer-reviewed gets zero attention.
For example:
One agarbatti stick: 4.5x more particulate matter than a cigarette. (Lung, 2003)
Formaldehyde in the smoke: 4x WHO safe limit. (CSIR-NEERI)
Your mom burns this in a closed room every morning. Nobody makes a thread about that.

India has ZERO mandatory food safety training for street vendors. No license or hygiene certification audit.
Singapore licenses every single hawker. Thailand mandates training. India has 10 million+ street vendors with close to 0 rules

But if you must burn it, you can reduce the toxicity:
1. Go Bamboo-less (Dhoop/Cones): Burning the bamboo core is what releases a lot of the heavy toxic byproducts.
2. Avoid Charcoal & Synthetic Perfumes: Cheap sticks use charcoal soaked inDiethyl Phthalate to hold artificial fragrances. Look for 100% charcoal-free, naturally derived resin/oil sticks.
