[SCAN 002] - Big Muscles. Protinex. Amway. Ensure.
A peer-reviewed lab study tested these brands. Here's what they found:
Big Muscles Whey: Label says 76.5g protein. Lab found 26.1g. (66% deficit)
Big Muscles Vegan: Label says 81.3g. Lab found 19.4g. (76% deficit)
Protinex: Worst pharmaceutical performer. 3.43g hidden fructose.
Amway Nutrilite: Worst plant-based protein tested.
Ensure Plus (Abbott): Among worst pharmaceutical performers.
70% of 36 supplements tested were lying about protein content.
75% contained lead.
A thread. ↓
@1indianewsdaily 16 dead from milk in the world's largest dairy market. ₹11 lakh crore industry and the agency inspecting it has a 60% vacancy rate, let that math sit for a second
Nobody ever circles back to ask why there was no inspector there because there literally isn't one!
@Kynafintax The timing on this is unreal, FSSAI making licensing "mandatory" while 16 people just died from adulterated milk in AP.
Who exactly is enforcing this? Because 60% of inspector positions are vacant and most producers will never see a single audit in their life!
So a doctor calls out a product, FSSAI sides with the doctor, and J&J's response is... a legal notice? not a lab report, not counter-data, a lawyer. that tells you everything
This is how it works here, you question a brand and the first thing that shows up isn't a rebuttal, it's a cease and desist. It's not the data that scares them, it's someone saying it somewhere people can actually hear it
16 people dead from milk and I keep thinking about the fact that FSSAI's own data shows a 60% inspector vacancy rate. there are states where one officer covers millions of people, barely pretending.
Thousands of adulteration cases every year, FSSAI's own numbers, and the deaths make the headline but the empty chairs that caused them never do. Nobody's running "60% of food safety positions unfilled" as breaking news because it doesn't have a body count yet. Well now it does..
Love that you're actually posting the gazette, nobody reads these things which is kind of the whole problem.
What's missing from this "new" amendment is any actual numerical limits for chemicals leaching from packaging into food. We literally wrote a regulation that describes the problem without solving it and called it progress
@YTKDIndia FSSAI has a 60% inspector vacancy. 6 out of 10 seats collecting dust.
So the building is empty AND the person they hired to run it may not qualify. Incredible institution.
@forallcurious Community note already clarified the tea bag number.
But fun fact: India has ZERO regulation on microplastics in food packaging or migration limits or BPA caps..
EU set these limits years ago, nobody cares about actual regulatory failures!
"Playing with people's lives" and nobody's job to stop it. Literally.
FSSAI has a 60% inspector vacancy. Entire districts with one food safety officer. ONE.
Paneer seized today. Headlines tomorrow. Same thing next week in a different city. Rinse, repeat, file an FIR, move on.
This isn't a crime story. It's a staffing spreadsheet nobody wants to read.
Great thread. Microplastics panic is junk science going viral!
But here's what's infuriating: while everyone debates tea bag particles, stuff that's ACTUALLY peer-reviewed gets zero attention.
For example:
One agarbatti stick: 4.5x more particulate matter than a cigarette. (Lung, 2003)
Formaldehyde in the smoke: 4x WHO safe limit. (CSIR-NEERI)
Your mom burns this in a closed room every morning. Nobody makes a thread about that.
@TyrantOppressor The vendor is only a part of the problem.
India has ZERO mandatory food safety training for street vendors. No license or hygiene certification audit.
Singapore licenses every single hawker. Thailand mandates training. India has 10 million+ street vendors with close to 0 rules
@Mallika66591576 We will speak against every organisation and everyone involved in this corrupt system. None of these rotten bastards have a right to play with our health and life.
SCAN 006 - Fake Paracetamol, Cough Syrup, BP Meds
🚨 147 medicines failed government quality testing. Last month. January 2026.
Paracetamol. Antibiotics. Diabetes meds. Calcium supplements. From companies you've heard of.
Not recalled. Not pulled. Still on your pharmacy shelf right now.
How many are in your medicine cabinet?
Ok, But how many of those US failed batches are STILL rotting on shelves being sold to people? Damn near ZERO.
In India they just sit there for months thanks to weak enforcement and zero deadlines.
Also, please stop normalising crap by comparing who is worse, there will be no retribution if we don't speak against this.
@harjjotsinghh The lack of awareness among people allows these brands to push harmful stuff, while filling the pockets of all the corrupt officials involved in it.
@Hemlataspeaks1 Unfortunately, yes! These are recent findings from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), which is the national regulatory body for pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and cosmetics in India.
No smoke is 100% safe.
But if you must burn it, you can reduce the toxicity:
1. Go Bamboo-less (Dhoop/Cones): Burning the bamboo core is what releases a lot of the heavy toxic byproducts.
2. Avoid Charcoal & Synthetic Perfumes: Cheap sticks use charcoal soaked inDiethyl Phthalate to hold artificial fragrances. Look for 100% charcoal-free, naturally derived resin/oil sticks.
[SCAN 007] The Agarbatti.
Your mom would kill you if you lit a cigarette in the house.
But every morning, she shuts the pooja room door, lights an agarbatti, and breathes in 4.5x more cancer-causing smoke than a Marlboro.
The double standard is deadly. 🧵👇
Nobody is saying stop pooja. Just stop letting your family breathe it in a sealed room.
• Crack a window + run an exhaust fan
• Burn it outside the main room
• Keep kids & the elderly out while it burns
Protect your family without giving up the ritual. Send this to them.

Not one major brand has published independent smoke testing.
Meanwhile, a 2024 meta-analysis shows a 33% higher lung cancer risk for non-smoking women exposed to incense.
Chemistry doesn’t care about your habits or your devotion. Smoke is smoke.
