I cancelled my subscription late last week after running out of tolerance for their recent change in direction. Quality seems to have quickly tanked and I’m honestly shocked at how quickly their reporters seem to have embraced the new approach. This piece from Tim Stanley was just one example of several recent low quality pieces that I didn’t enjoy.

I honestly can’t fathom what’s happened at the @Telegraph in the past month but they’ve lost the plot. A sudden influx of anti-right articles and opinion pieces, and a growing flood of progressive views laced into articles.

I’m not a Restore voter but their bizarre obsession with writing hit piece after hit piece about @RupertLowe10 and his political movement is completely unhinged.

I’ve got no choice but to vote with my feet and cancel my subscription because this isn’t what I’m looking for in my daily paper.
Utterly surreal behaviour.

Need to find another paper that aligns with my views, but there’s very little mainstream choice these days.

I had two babies.
With the first, I had a Scottish midwife, Fiona, whose deep kindness and gentle voice stays with me 30 years later.

With my second, I had two African agency nurses with poor English. They clearly regarded me as a white wimp when I asked for exactly the same pain relief I’d had after my previous C-section.

One yanked out my catheter.
They were awful. Culturally so harsh and different to Fiona.

It’s completely natural when you are in hospital feeling vulnerable to want sympathetic nurses who speak English. They can be any colour or religion but their sensibility must be British. Filipina nurses I have met are exceptional.

Importing thousands of cheap nurses from alien cultures when so many of our own girls want to be midwives has been a calamity.

Watching @sophaller say it out loud — that girls shouldn’t have to give up fair competition or our privacy — meant more than she’ll ever know. When a WNBA star says it, maybe people finally listen.
