"Violence begins when discourse ends."
~Charlie Kirk
Discourse ends when one of the parties is no longer able to intelligently debate.
This is a strategem of dictators and totalitarians.
The last few questions and responses in Charlie's "Prove Me Wrong" event at UVU paint a picture of defeat for his "opposition".
"How many of those shooters were transgender?"
"Too many." The questioner thought that playing a numbers game would prove his point. He was wrong.
Had the questioner asked, "How many of those shooters were straight?" the response would have been the same, "Too many."
"How many of those shooters were women?" "Too many."
"How many of those shooters were men?" "Too many."
"How many of those shooters were white?" "Too many."
"How many of those shooters were black?" "Too many."
"Young people?" "Too many."
"Old people?" "Too many."
"Democrats?" "Too many."
"Republicans?" "Too many."
There is only one response to any question about how many shooters, "Too many."
And Charlie Kirk knew that. Every sane person knows that. Even one is "too many".
So what happened was an act of insanity perpetrated by an individual (or individuals) who realized that, even when they could intelligently respond, Charlie's discourse was gaining followers.
And in this one act of immature, senseless, meaningless violence, Charlie Kirk has won.
There is no way anyone is able to prove him wrong any more. He will be forever right in all that he has said.
RIP Charlie KIrk (September 10, 2025)

@Amtrak No because they are conspicuously absent. It is now 12:45 and lights are still bright and nothing has been said.
In addition, the bathrooms in this car were placed out of service before even leaving VA.
@Amtrak I am currently on the Floridian 41 and in addition to a three hour delay , cabin lights have NOT been dimmed (it is 11:26 pm)and multiple people are using electronics without headphones.
Both are in violation of Amtrak stated policy and an extreme disservice to passengers.
"I don't dislike Somali immigrants because they are black people. I dislike them because they walked into my house, were given shelter and resources and then stole from me."
Butternut squash soup. Roast them seeded and halved and sprinkled with olive oil. Sautee some shallots in olive oil and add the meat from the squash (scoop it out of the shell) and some chicken or vegetable broth and use a stick blender to get a smooth consistency. Season with salt, pepper, sage, cinnamon, nutmeg to your preference and cook on low for a bit.
If you want to get really hearty you can grill some sausage ( Irish bangers or Andouille) and slice them thin and add them.
Top with sour cream blended with cinnamon and nutmeg.
Reheats well so can be made the day before. 😁
@realistic_view Sorry I was so quiet this morning. Was working on food prep. When I get home later today I’m making a big pot of gravy. (And if your name ends in a vowel you know what I mean. 😁) 🍝
“The same person who now insist on entering women’s locker rooms claiming they have every right to be there is the same person once convicted of serious domestic violence”
You cannot make this up!
That woman who lost her membership deserves a big apology!
Why am I semi-incognito on X? Because sometimes we need to post our true feelings without real-time real-world repercussions. At this stage of my life there are increasing numbers of losses among my friend group and every one makes me hurt inside. With each birth, an eventual death is inevitable, but every death brings sorrow. If you don’t feel your own losses as well as those of others, shame on you. #birthcomestousall #deathcomestousall #everyloss
