I dont say this often but please.
Go to the gym.
Walk every day.
Get outside.
Listen to podcasts that actually teach you something.
Spend less time doom-scrolling.
Get a dog.
Drink more water.
Eat better.
Go to bed before 10 PM.
Get at least 7 hours of sleep.
Call your family.
Protect your peace.
Save money.
Invest every month.
Learn a skill that can pay you for life.
Stop trying to impress people who don’t matter.
You Cannot Claim
To Be Aligned With God
While Rehearsing Hatred
Inside Your Heart.
And Maybe
the Hardest Part
is Admitting
that Sometimes...
Hatred Feels Good.
For a Moment.
It Feels
Powerful
when You've
Spent Years
Feeling powerless.
It Feels
like Justice
when Nobody
Ever Apologized.
It Feels
like Strength
when Somebody
Made You Feel small.
It Feels
like Finally
Winning
the Argument
You Have Been
Replaying
in Your Head
For Three Years.
You Know The One.
The Conversation
in The Shower.
The Argument
in The Car.
The Imaginary
Confrontation
at 2:17 in The Morning
where You Finally
say Everything
You Should
Have said.
The Betrayal
You Pretend
Doesn't
Bother You
Anymore.
The Parent
You Still
Haven't
Forgiven.
The Relationship
That Ended
Years ago
but Somehow
Still Enters Every
Relationship
Afterward.
The Friend
whose Name
Changes
the Atmosphere
Inside Your Body.
The Person
You Blocked...
But Still Occasionally Search.
The Apology
You Know
is Probably
Never Coming.
The Moment
Somebody
Broke Something
Inside You
and Then Continued
Living Their Life
as Though
Nothing
Happened.
That Kind of Pain
Changes People.
And Nobody Talks Enough
about What Happens Next.
Because
Eventually
You Get Tired
of Hurting.
So You
Become Angry.
And Anger
Feels Better
Than Sadness.
Sadness says:
"They Hurt Me."
Anger says:
"They'll Never Hurt Me Again."
So You
Build Walls.
You
Stop
Trusting.
You Become Colder.
You Learn
How to Leave
Before You're Left.
You
Stop
Saying
What
You Feel.
You
Start
Calling
Emotional
Distance...
"Peace."
You Call
Numbness...
"Strength."
You Call
Isolation...
"Protecting
My Energy."
You Call
Refusing
to Forgive...
"Having
Standards."
And Because
the Wound
Is Underneath
All of It...
It Can
Feel...
Like
Healing.
Until
One Day
You Realize
Something
Terrifying:
You...
Survived
What
Happened
to You...
But Part
of You
Never Left
the Room
where It
Happened.
Your Body
Got Older.
Your Life
Continued.
Your Hair Changed.
Your Address Changed.
People Came and Went.
Years Disappeared.
But Somewhere
inside You,
there Is Still
a Younger
Version
of Yourself
Asking
The Same
Question:
Why
wasn't I
Enough
for Them
to Treat
Me Better?
That is where
Hatred
often Begins.
Not with evil.
With Grief.
A Child
who Wasn't
Protected.
A Teenager
who Was
Humiliated.
A Husband
who Was
Betrayed.
A Wife
who Was
Abandoned.
A Mother
who Buried
Someone
She Wasn't
Supposed
to Outlive.
A Father
who Worked
His Entire Life
and Still Couldn't
Keep the Lights on.
A Person
who Prayed
Desperately...
and Heard Nothing.
Pain Looks for
Somewhere to Go.
And if It
isn't Healed...
it Travels.
That's The Part
that Should
Haunt Us.
The Father
who Was
Screamed at
Screams
at His Son.
The Son
Grows up
Swearing
He'll Never
Become
His Father...
Then Hears
His Father's
Exact words
come Out
of His
Own
Mouth.
The Woman
who Was Betrayed
begins Punishing Someone
who Never Betrayed Her.
The Man
who Was
Abandoned
becomes
Emotionally
Unavailable
so Nobody can
Abandon Him again.
One
Person's
wound
Becomes
Another Person's
Childhood.
Another
Person's
Insecurity.
Another
Person's
Failed
Relationship.
Another
Person's
Reason For
Believing
They Are
impossible
to Love.
Pain Becomes Inheritance.
And Sometimes
Nobody in the Family
even Remembers
Where it Started.
They say:
"That's
Just
How
We
Are."
But
What if...
it Doesn't
Have to Be?
What if Spirituality
Was Never Primarily
about Crystals,
Frequencies,
Churches,
Temples,
Meditation,
Scripture,
Incense,
Rituals,
Philosophies,
or Knowing
the Correct Words
for Things?
What if All
of Those Things...
were Supposed to
Lead Us Toward
One Brutally
Simple Question:
What Happens
to the Pain
After it
Reaches You?
Do You
pass It
Forward?
Or does It
End there?
Because
Anyone
Can talk
about Love
when Love
is Easy.
Love Your Children?
Of Course.
Love Your Friends?
Easy.
Love
the Person
who makes You
Feel Understood?
Beautiful.
But then
Someone
betrays You.
Someone
humiliates You.
Someone lies
about You.
Someone
takes Advantage
of Your Kindness.
Someone
Leaves.
Someone
Never
Apologizes.
Someone
Votes
Differently.
Worships
Differently.
Looks
Differently.
Believes
Something
You Find
Incomprehensible.
And suddenly
Every Spiritual Principle
You've Ever Spoken about
is Standing in Front
of You asking:
Did You
Mean
Any of it?
That's The Test.
Not whether You
become Angry.
Anger is Human.
Not Whether
You walk
Away.
Sometimes
walking Away
is Love for
Yourself.
Not Whether
You Demand
Consequences.
Justice Matters.
The Test
is Whether
Another
Person's
Darkness
is allowed to
Reproduce itself
inside You.
Because Hatred
Has an Arrangement
Nobody tells You about:
You provide The Body.
You provide The Heartbeat.
You provide the Nervous System.
You provide The Memories.
You provide The Sleepless Nights.
You provide The Years.
And The Person You Hate
Doesn't Even Have to Be There.
Think About How
Devastating That Is.
Somebody Can
Hurt You Once...
and Your Mind
Can Hurt You with It
Ten Thousand
More Times.
They Go Home.
You Replay It.
They Sleep.
You Stare
at The Ceiling.
They Laugh.
You Imagine
what You
Should
Have Said.
They Move On.
You
Keep
Checking
whether Life
has Punished
Them Yet.
Eventually...
They Aren't
Doing Anything
to You Anymore.
You Are
Continuing
the Relationship
with Their ghost.
And We
call That
Holding
a Grudge.
But Sometimes
it's Closer
to Carrying
a Prison Cell
Everywhere
You Go...
Then
Wondering
why You
Never
Feel Free.
Forgiveness Doesn't
Unlock Their Cell.
Sometimes...
It Unlocks Yours.
And No,
Forgiveness
does Not mean
Pretending
What Happened
Was Okay.
Some things
were Not okay.
Some things
were Horrific.
Some People
Should
Never
have
access
to You again.
Some
Relationships
Should
Remain Over.
Some Crimes
Deserve Punishment.
Some Doors
Should
Stay
Locked.
You
Can
Forgive
Somebody...
and Never invite Them
Back into Your life.
Because Forgiveness
is Not Permission.
Compassion
is Not Surrender.
Love
is Not
the Absence
of Boundaries.
And Spirituality
is Not
Allowing People
to destroy You
while You Smile
and Call it
Enlightenment.
Sometimes...
Love says:
No More.
But It Doesn't
Have to say:
I Hope
You
Suffer
Forever.
That's the Difference.
You Can Fight evil
without Becoming
Fluent in its Language.
You Can Expose cruelty
without Learning
to Enjoy cruelty.
You Can Demand Justice
without Becoming
Addicted to Vengeance.
You Can Leave
The Door Closed...
Without
Spending
the Rest
of Your Life
standing Behind it.
Because
Perhaps
the Saddest
possible Ending
Isn't that Someone
Broke Your Heart.
It's that Afterward...
You Never
Let Anyone
Touch It
Again.
Not Your
Next Partner.
Not Your
Children.
Not Your
Friends.
Not
Even
Yourself.
The Person
Who hurt You
gets Five minutes
of Your history...
and Accidentally
Receives
Thirty Years
of Your Future.
Don't Give
Them That.
And perhaps
this is Where
God Enters
the Conversation
in a way Far Deeper
than Religion.
Maybe God
Isn't Asking
How Many Verses
You Memorized.
Maybe God
Isn't Impressed
by How Spiritual
You sound.
Maybe the
Question isn't:
"Did You
Believe
in Me?"
Maybe It Is:
"After Everything
That Happened to You...
Did You Still Know
How to Love?"
Did Suffering
make You
Compassionate...
or Merely suspicious?
Did Betrayal
teach You
Discernment...
or teach You
to Never
Trust again?
Did Heartbreak
Deepen You...
or Harden You?
Did Discovering Darkness
make You protect The Light...
or Convince You
that Darkness
Was All There
Ever Was?
And
Here is
Perhaps
The Most
Uncomfortable
Question of All:
How
Many
People
have You
Hated
for Wounds
They Didn't
Personally
Give You?
The New
Partner
Paying For
What The
Old One Did.
The Child
Carrying The
Consequences
of Their Parent's
Childhood.
The Stranger
Carrying the Weight
of Your politics.
Entire Races
Blamed for
Individuals.
Entire Religions
Blamed for Extremists.
Entire
Generations
Blamed for
Systems
They Inherited.
Millions of
Human Beings
Reduced to Labels
Because Labels
Are Easier to Hate
than People.
Because
Once
You Know
Someone's Story...
Hatred
Becomes
Complicated.
The Person
You despise
Was once
Somebody's
Little Boy.
Somebody's
Little Girl.
They
Once
Wanted
To Be Held...
They Once
Cried
Because
They were
Frightened.
They Once
Believed Adults
Knew what
They were Doing.
They Were
taught Things
Before They were
old Enough
to Question Them.
They Lost People.
They Were Rejected.
They Were Embarrassed.
They made Mistakes.
They developed Defenses.
Some became Beautiful People.
Some became Dangerous People.
Some became Both.
Understanding That...
Doesn't Erase
Accountability.
It Deepens It.
Because
Understanding
why Someone Became
who They Are
Doesn't Excuse
What They Did.
It Simply
Refuses
to Pretend
that Human Beings
Are as Simple
as The Labels
We use
To Condemn Them.
Because There is
a Profound difference
Between saying:
"What You did
Was Wrong."
and saying:
"Therefore,
You Are
No Longer
Human."
Humanity Has
Crossed That Line
Too Many Times.
And Every Time We do...
We Eventually Discover
what Human Beings
Become Capable of Doing
to People They Have
Convinced Themselves
Aren't Really People Anymore.
So Maybe
Awakening isn't
Seeing Hidden Truths
Nobody Else Can See.
Maybe
Awakening
Begins Somewhere
Much Closer.
Maybe
it Happens
the First Time
You catch
Hatred
Growing Inside
Your Own
Heart...
and Refuse
to Water it.
Maybe Enlightenment
isn't Escaping
the Human Condition.
Maybe it's
Understanding it
Deeply enough
to Stop Passing
its Wounds
Forward.
Maybe Breaking
Generational curses
isn't Mystical at all.
Maybe Sometimes
it is Simply a Father
Kneeling Beside
His Frightened Son
and Speaking gently...
Because Nobody
Ever spoke
gently to Him.
A Mother
telling Her
Daughter
She is Beautiful...
Because Nobody
Ever told Her.
A betrayed Person
Choosing Not to Betray.
An abandoned Person
Choosing to Stay.
A humiliated Person
Refusing to Humiliate.
A wounded Person deciding:
Nobody Else
is Going to Bleed
Because I did.
Imagine if
that Became
Humanity's
definition
of Strength.
Imagine Millions
of People Deciding:
The anger Can reach Me.
The betrayal Can reach Me.
The grief Can reach Me.
The injustice Can Reach Me.
But the Hatred?
It Stops Here.
Maybe
That
is How
The World
Actually Changes.
Not When Everyone Agrees.
Not When Everyone
Believes the Same thing.
Not When Every
Enemy Disappears.
But when
Enough
wounded
Human Beings
decide They
will No Longer
manufacture
Tomorrow's
wounded
Human Beings
out of Yesterday's pain.
Because One Day
You Will Reach
the End of Your Liife.
The Arguments
Will Be Over.
The People
who betrayed You
May Already Be Gone.
Nobody
Will Care
Who Won in That
Comment Section.
The Grudges
that once Felt
Enormous
Will Suddenly
Look Very small.
And Perhaps
in those Final Moments,
there Will only Be
One Question
worth Answering:
After Everything
This World
Took From You...
Your Innocence,
Your Trust,
People You Loved,
Years You Cannot Get Back,
Dreams that Never Happened,
Apologies that Never Came...
What did
You Refuse
to Let it Take?
I Hope The Answer is:
My Heart.
Because Maybe
the Greatest
Spiritual Achievement
Available to a Human Being
isn't Leaving this World
without Scars.
Maybe it's Leaving
Covered in Them...
and Somehow...
Still
Having
Love Left
to Give.
I Agape You All.
Imagine being given somewhere around 80 years on a planet floating through an incomprehensibly enormous universe, surrounded by billions of people you will never meet, mysteries you will never solve, places you will never see, and more knowledge than you could absorb in a thousand lifetimes...
and spending the whole damn thing worrying about money, arguing with strangers, impressing people you don't even like, and doing something you hate five days a week because somebody convinced you that was life.
I don't know, man.
I think we may have gotten a few things terribly wrong.
The devil makes use of the past to cast down the soul, of the present to distract it,and of the future to fill it with fear. Resist him firmly by trusting entirely on God
St. Ignatius of Loyola
Holy Spirit, I am slowing down again.
I wake up and reach for my phone before I reach for You. I give my first moments to notifications, distractions, and the cares of the day.
Please, receive me again.
Restore my hunger for Your presence. Restore my prayer life. Restore my desire for Your Word and sensitivity to Your voice.
Help me seek You before I seek everything else.
Holy Spirit, draw me back. I am Yours.
Amen.
“There are three traps of Satan that steal joy and peace: Regretting about the past, fear for the future, and ingratitude for the present.”
St. Anthony the Great 🕊️
I heard someone say, satan got adam and eve to fix their eyes on one tree when god had already given them an entire garden, think about that. The enemy didn't have to convince them that they had nothing. He just had to make them forget everything that they already had. And he still, till this day, uses the same strategy. He gets us to focus on relationships we don't have, the job that we don't have, the opportunity we don't have, the healing we haven't seen yet. Meanwhile, we are blind to the countless prayers god has already answered. Gratitude isn't pretending you don't want more, it's refusing to let what you don't have make you forget the goodness of god that's already surrounding you.
Don’t wait for the perfect plan before you start.
Take the first step, embrace the mistakes, stay patient through the messy moments, and don’t let fear control your decisions.
Progress doesn’t have to be perfect—it just has to keep moving forward. 🚀
Vamos a 2 Corintios capítulo 12.
