One: underpasses were not required. Two: poorly designed. Classic example is Johar underpass.

The Banyan Tree in old Clifton that fell yesterday has been transplanted again by the Parks Department of KMC. We will be making all possible efforts to save this tree. Hoping that the leaves will start sprouting soon 🤲

They have allowed highrise without enforcing them to allocate the parking floor. See every road / service road occupied to park vehicles.
