the worst thing about reading ryu murakami's In the Miso Soup is that he raises the bar of the reading experience so much. he writes in a way that feels like writing is the only thing in the world he enjoys. it's why i still can't get over it, it was so addictive.

@ethnicislearnin i only read this, Piercing, and Audition. they are all great, but In the Miso Soup is on another level. i've heard that Coin Locker Babies and From the Fatherland with Love are also mastetpieces
