Fun Developer. Having fun with Voxels, VR/AR and other things.

@Warcope_dev It’s a texture that the foliage samples. Shapes can write direction and strength into it. It’s similar to rendering a minimap. The texture erodes over time that’s how you get the wind to stop.

Wind simulation now supports interaction and gusts. For example explosions. #indiedev #gamedev #techart

[memoryfloater @memoryfloater]

I have peaked as a game developer. It’s all downhill from here. #wind #techart #gamedev

[memoryfloater @memoryfloater]

@airuptwastaken Interactive wind mechanics are next. I have to rewrite the gust tech a little to make it happen. 🌾👈🏻

[memoryfloater @memoryfloater]

A simple sway was never going to be enough. #gamedev #wind #techart #3dart

[memoryfloater @memoryfloater]

I just had to read the custom dithering breakdown of Obra Dinn and make my own version of it. 🫠 #indiedev #wheat #techart

[memoryfloater @memoryfloater]

Making the transition seamless took forever 🫠 #indiedev #wheat #nature

[memoryfloater @memoryfloater]

Why pick one when I can overthink three? #ScreenshotSaturday #wheat

[memoryfloater @memoryfloater]

Good news: I’m no longer staring at trees all day. Bad news: now I‘m staring at wheat. 🌾 #indiedev #wheat #game

[memoryfloater @memoryfloater]

@DominionT41234 Still working on tech pieces one at a time. Don’t feel confident enough to share details about the game itself yet. 😅

[memoryfloater @memoryfloater]

I have not been outside lately, this is what a forest looks like, right? #indiedev #forest #nature

[memoryfloater @memoryfloater]

I don’t care about the draw calls anymore! Let‘s add more trees! 😅#indiedev #tree

[memoryfloater @memoryfloater]

The amount of shader work that went into this… #gamedev #techart

[memoryfloater @memoryfloater]

Any YouTube tutorials on color theory you can recommend? #indiedev #colortheory #forest

[memoryfloater @memoryfloater]

@mitansh_j07 Good point! I think I‘m not at that point yet, making the pieces fit together is the final boss 😅

[memoryfloater @memoryfloater]

I made this, and now I just keep staring at it. #indiedev #techart #gamedev

[memoryfloater @memoryfloater]

@0xDanielAI It can only get worse from here on 😅

[memoryfloater @memoryfloater]

Me: “Let's add a few trees.” Also me: adds 100,000 🤷🏻‍♂️ #gamedev #indiedev #techart

[memoryfloater @memoryfloater]

@DanielSquareB Too early to really estimate. I‘m still adding some features. 🔥

[memoryfloater @memoryfloater]

Can I get away with this? 🌳
