The Water Resources Management Authority (WARMA) has expressed concern over the continuous unauthorized sand mining in the Magoye stream of Mazabuka District in Southern Province.
The stream is no longer flowing due to the human activities, hence affecting biodiversity.

Zambia has obtained a Readiness Package Grant of 145,000 dollars from the Adaptation Fund, to facilitate the accreditation of Zambia Industrial Commercial Bank (ZICB) to the Adaptation Fund.
