Sometimes, recovery starts with changing the rules.
For the Atlantic and Pacific bluefin tuna, people came together to set fishing limits and give populations a chance to recover.
It worked.

This is what finding your way home looks like.
Green turtle nests were raided – until people showed up with a patient kind of hope, protecting beaches and changing how we fish.
Now, numbers have grown by nearly a third since the 1970s.

@CalumHendrix Thank you so much! About half of monitored wildlife populations are stable and growing, which shows conservation works when people set a goal and work towards it together 💚
Listen to nature.
It tells us: monitored wildlife populations have declined by an average of 73% since 1970.
But it tells us this too: what falls can rise again. Elephants, tigers, green turtles, tuna. All made a comeback.
Not by chance. By people. Share with hope. #LivingPlanetReport

Our favourite trails are their ancient flyways. Shorebirds migrating to Canada are down 40% since the 1970s as stopover habitat disappears. Every route worth running is worth restoring and protecting.
What if farming smarter meant giving land back to the wild? 🌾 Wild grasslands once stretched far and wide. Now, most of that land has been damaged by intensive farming.
But there's a path back: helping farmers adopt practices that are better for nature, making sure the meat we eat comes from sustainable sources, and looking to new technologies or alternative foods to help ease the pressures of food production.
Smarter land use means more opportunity for wild grasslands to return and thrive. How do you play your part at home?

From soaring mountains to winding rivers, the path to every great odyssey home is paved with nature’s greatest marvels.
These marvels go back thousands of years. Woven into mythology, rich in symbolism, and full of meaning. They show our deep, ancient connection with nature.
Protecting nature has always been part of who we are.
Every camera trap image tells a bigger story.
Behind every sighting are communities protecting forests, rangers on patrol, scientists tracking recovery and governments investing in conservation. These aren't just photos of tigers. They're proof that long-term conservation works.
Reshare this and join us in celebrating every tiger spotted, every forest protected, and every community helping make tiger recovery possible 🐯 #GlobalTigerDay
You've all heard about #Jimothy... but what about these three?
Maned wolf, saiga antelope, aye-aye lemur.
Nature knows: Different isn't bad, it's what makes you you.
Passion for what you love sounds the same in every language.
Today, while the world roars for kick off, we root for something that outlasts the final whistle.
Because forests deserve that exact energy.
