📍🟡 Housing developers should consider reducing the number of parking spaces in new projects near public transport stations, Transport Minister Anthony Loke said last December.
📌 Loke said that this would apply only to new developments and primarily target young residents living near urban rail networks.
📌 “If they live near public transport stations, the necessity of owning a car may be reduced. This can also help lower their living expenses."
📌 He also noted that several transit-oriented developments in KL have already been allowed to apply for relaxation of parking requirements from local authorities.
