Public companies telling their shareholders on their earnings calls how important their partnership is with Palantir 👀
Palantir also hit $160 this morning, a new all time high, after getting a street-high PT by Piper Sandler to $170.
LFG.
I believe $HOOD will launch Tokenized Stocks in 20 days.
The announcement could shock the financial world and fuel its global expansion.
Let me explain 🧵
First, what are tokenized stocks?
Tokenized stocks are essentially "crypto stocks" that trade on a blockchain rather than the traditional exchanges and settlement systems.
Like stablecoins track a currency, a stock token uses smart contracts to track the performance of a stock.
Ok cool. What are the benefits?
> tokens could be traded 24h like crypto coins, globally and with fractional trading.
= clients are happy
> instant settlement vs the 2/3 days required from the traditional financial infrastructure, which means less cost.
= brokers (Robinhood) are happy
Why I believe this is the move:
1) @vladtenev has been quite vocal (also in the interview with me) in expressing that he wants to "tokenize all assets". Equities is a great asset class to start.
2) European clients, who now only have access to HOOD's crypto trading, are eager to access stock trading within their app (including me).
3) Kraken, a huge crypto exchange, announced in May the launch of xStocks to offer tokenized stocks (not available yet) to customers outside the US.
Tokens on US stocks could make equity trading accessible to EU clients without having a normal brokerage account.
Notice:
1) The event is held in France.
2) Robinhood recently renamed the EU app from "Crypto" to "Robinhood".
The past attempt to launch stock tokens, like Binance in 2021, failed due to regulatory backlash.
Now, the regulatory environment is much more favorable, with crypto ETFs having been approved and @DavidSacks as the "Crypto Zar".
Even EU is gradually opening to crytpo.
Apart from the regulatory environment, the critical aspect of the past attempts to launch tokenized stocks was liquidity.
A friend of mine told me about these concepts 10 years ago, but I was very skeptical due to:
1) shadiness
2) illiquidity.
Hood benefits from:
1) reputation
2) liquidity from the US clients (which already trade 24h)
Will $HOOD prove that blockchain is a superior infrastructure with tokenized stocks?
If not in 20 days, I believe it's only a matter of time before Vlad goes in this direction.
Yours,

BREAKING: ROBINHOOD $HOOD SEES CREDIT CARD WAITLIST INCREASE TO 3M USERS
This is another MASSIVE growth lever for $HOOD.
They have about 200K credit card holders and are doing around $40M in revenue, they could have an additional 2.8M people get the card tomorrow and IMMEDIATELY scale that business independent of the growth in all other areas.
They won’t do that since they want to get underwriting done effectively which takes time, but eventually they will be onboarding thousands of people DAILY and integrate them into that ecosystem while effectively paying $0 for their CAC, the highest cost for credit card companies.
3% cash back across the board is one of a kind and could become one of the largest credit card businesses in the world, but it starts with an obsessive focus on the customer experience which is why they have this type of demand.
This company just has many verticals to grow into — event at the end of June will usher in a new era for how they approach the crypto industry and May metrics today showed ATHs in equities, options, margin balances, and AUC.

PALANTIR CEO ALEX KARP:
“The Palantir Platform, despite what you may read at The New York Times, is actually the most secure, the hardest platform in the world to manipulate and change. Of course any technology can be abused. But if you wanted to abuse a technology, if you wanted to use the deep state to unlawfully surveil people, the last platform in the world you would pick is Palantir because of the granular way we segment and put together and the security models and the access control models that are in Foundry natively.”

We are not going back to Vice Media clickbait garbage from 2017.
Palantir has taken control over their narrative over the past 5 years and shown the world what their software ACTUALLY is used for.
The blatant lying by mainstream media is simply trying to create a headline — “the big boogeyman company stealing your data.” The goal of this is to make a story to garner attention & make people feel comfortable pointing to a company as the reason for bad things happening in the world. None of this is rooted in actual truth & none of these reporters have done an ounce of research on what Palantir ACTUALLY does.
Mainstream media has been dying but unfortunately when one story goes viral, all of them latch on to “the current thing” and try to spin a story.
It is utter garbage and will not work.
Palantir now has millions of people that ACTUALLY understand what the company does how important their products are to maintain peace & stability across the world.
I will do my best to counter them as well but unfortunately mainstream media is looking for a story, especially due to their hatred of Trump, and Palantir is becoming the scapegoat right now.
It’s sad to see and I hope people don’t fall for these narratives.

REFLECTIONS FROM AIPCON 5:
Alright, I have a ton to say here so this is going to be pretty long but hopefully can encapsulate the depth of everything I experienced this week.
This was a really emotional AIPCon for me.
In the next 4 months, it'll be 4 years of me covering Palantir. When I began covering it in 2021, I was interested in a company that I thought could be important in multiple industries (most notably energy & defense peaked my interests) and because on their website, they kept using the word "ontology."
I did debate in high school and ontology was a philosophical term to represent "the state of being." That word was used thousands, literally thousands of of times by my competitors at debate tournaments across the world. When I saw that word being used as representation of data -- as silly as it sounds, it forced me to go deeper into why a philosophical term with roots in metaphysics was being used to describe enterprise data-management for a tech company.
So I dived in.
I found Karp. I found Zero to One. I found everything I needed to continue keeping me interested in this company called Palantir...
I also found a stock that seemed attractive at $28, only to see it fall to $6 over the corresponding 18 months.
This AIPCon was emotional for me because I have never seen Alex Karp this happy.
The energy in the building, throughout the demos, in conversations with customers...it was just on a different level. There was a foundation of excitement that came from Alex on the importance of Palantir being included into the S&P 500 -- this was not a company that was supposed to succeed.
But they did it their way. They just focused on providing value, actually building a useful product, and then not compromising their values for anyone else.
Now, it is becoming very, very difficult to deny what Palantir has been able to do.
Three core observations: the ontology, the media, the stock.
THE ONTOLOGY:
The ontology is the reason why this company, in the words of Karp, can 10X. It became even more obvious to me when speaking to customers this weekend (interview clips coming soon) on how important the ontology is. I also think Karp's CNBC interview on how LLMs are basically hydrocarbons that don't matter without the processing -- aka the ontology -- was one of the best metaphors I've heard to describe it. I have a feeling in a few years, everyone will be thinking of AI via the ontology, NOT the foundational LLMs.
If AI is useful in the enterprise, it will be because of the ontology, not because of a chat bot.
THE MEDIA:
The media now cares. They didn't care for years. Now, they care. They will only care more.
Karp is going to be on Bill Maher tonight. He's having articles written about him in the NY Times. His brand is growing. Anyone who is invested in a public company is basically invested in the CEO. They get all the shine and all the blame.
Karp is a generational founder/CEO -- someone who can identify the bifurcation of what is and what ought to be, aka the idealism vs the pragmatism of a concept, and then match the company's ethos to the nuances of both. He needs to do this because his company works in such complex environments and I couldn't imagine anyone else better to do this.
The more the media cares, the more they will care about Palantir, the more they will realize what most us have known for years: this is a special company that is winning because they do it their way.
THE STOCK:
Okay, so I have some thoughts here. Look, I know the multiples are stretched. I get it. I'm not saying buying in the mid 30s is the best entry point.
However, I kind of don't care. Not because I don't think the stock could get hit badly if a recession happens, if they miss their numbers during one quarter, etc.
This is a generational company. It's just that simple. My conviction is only deepening because the culture, the speed of innovation, the BOOTCAMPS (what company innovates on Sales in this type of way??) and the leadership all make me believe that Karp isn't kidding when he said Palantir can be 10 times bigger than it is right now.
If you buy it at $35 and it falls to $25, you will be upset that you are down $10. If I see it fall to $25, barring any major thesis breakers, I will see a market opportunity because of the inability for the short term thinking of the market to deal with some level of bad numbers, bad macro environment, etc.
The thing is, I feel like the market is starting to figure it out...
For all the people on this platform that are eager to scream how overvalued Palantir is...
Have you ever asked yourself why it's "expensive?"
Seriously, have you?
Palantir is getting a premium because they are winning. It's not because of retail chasing. It's not because Karp has wild hair. It's because the market wants AI and Palantir is one of the only companies offering AI in any meaningful way. That doesn't mean the valuation can't be stretched -- but the people arguing that it makes no sense, well there are a ton of companies in the stock market...most of them are horrible...the only few that matter have....
Always been overvalued. $NVDA $AMZN $TSLA are simple examples of companies with massive moats but the market couldn't rationalize P/Es and as a result, most retail investors actually caught those stocks because they were more focused on qualitative growth stories that would grow into the quantitative valuations over short term multiples that may have expanded quickly due to more people wanting exposure.
My point is, the dip now becomes compelling to buy on Palantir based on all the evidence they are putting out on how strong their execution is and how differentiated they are.
It's very, very hard to bet against them. You can complain about the valuation, but it's hard to bet against their culture, their authenticity, and their approach to giving more than they take.
Finally -- I just want to say thank you to Palantir CEO Alex Karp. That video you all saw yesterday happened very randomly. I didn't really think I'd even get a chance to see him because he was very busy but I happened to run into him and then we got to do that video.
He really, really, really, really cares about retail investors. It's not a gimmick. This isn't part of some broad plan he is. He's just happy the underdogs (retail) understood Palantir before the mainstream did.
To the people who say Karp is cringe:
I hope one day you experience what it means to build something authentically. This man worked so, so, so, so hard along with the cofounders and employees to make Palantir a real thing. S&P inclusion is the one time I have actually seen him elated. He's going to say "f*** yeah" on camera. He's going to make jokes during the AIPCon opening speech. He might even say yes to taking a quick video with one of his supporters with zero hesitation because of how much he values the retail community caring about his company.
He is one of the most authentic human beings on the planet -- and by the way, he's proved it...he's taken political stances that have isolated MANY people, including his own employees, but when someone is wiling to simply say what they believe and then act according to those beliefs...whether you agree with their beliefs or not, you CANNOT say that person is inauthentic.
I think Alex Karp is one of the most important minds of our generation and as people begin to learn more about him, they probably will realize that his authenticity is why he is able to execute at the level he's executing at and why people want to work for him and invest in him.
Thank you to Palantir for inviting me out and giving me the chance to document their progress at AIPCon.
This story is just beginning.
