One minute Āwheo is "glued" to his nest, and the next thing you know he is jumping up trying to catch the winds. Clever chick!
2 clips to enjoy from this morning and this afternoon.

Ever seen an echidna slurp up his tucker? 🦔👅
Echidnas use their impressive 18cm-long sticky tongue to slurp up insects and termites tucked away in tiny crevices.
Our keepers encourage this natural behaviour for Cojine by putting his mincemeat into a special licky mat!
It's a rare to see a hare drinking like this🐇
They normally get their moisture from the vegetation that they eat, or from dew or rain.
But it's been so dry recently I've spotted one at the pond almost every day.
Keep an eye on the pond cam- sometimes you can spot deer drinking here too: https://t.co/5iGxuFu7WZ
