Tyrant cops don't know the law, get the ultimate walk of shame after disarming this man violating his rights.

Clearwater Police responded to multiple emergency calls reporting a man walking along a densely packed stretch of Clearwater Beach openly carrying an AR-15 rifle strapped across his chest while holding a fishing pole.

​The individual was identified as Michael David Taylor, a Second Amendment activist and self-described "auditor" who operates the YouTube channel Solovision under the moniker "The Armed Fisherman." Taylor was deliberately testing law enforcement's familiarity with Florida Statute 790.25(3)(h).

Under Florida law at the time, open carry of firearms was generally prohibited in public spaces, but the statute contained a specific exemption allowing citizens to openly carry firearms while actively fishing, hunting, camping, or traveling directly to and from those activities.

​The responding officers showed zero knowledge of the law on the books and violated his rights without a second thought.

​Throughout the encounter, Taylor loudly challenged the officers, accusing them of violating their oath of office, breaking state law, and unlawfully seizing his property. Officers maintained that detaining him was necessary for officer and public safety to verify his identity and confirm the situation.

Once officers realized they screwed up due to calls coming into the department from his live stream of the event, they quickly got him out the the vehicle and out of cuffs.

Once released Taylor gave them the verbal undressing that they earned by their actions.
