Final thought 5: If you’re not using your club account as your personal burner account, give the password to somebody else. You’re not the right person to be running the show.
Final thought 3: I’ve expressed my disdain for coaches and clipboards in the past. If you find yourself on a team with a coach, fine. But if you find yourself on a team that carries a clipboard, records stats, and scouts? Just go play NAIA.
Final thought 2: Club volleyball is such a fantastic community. To everyone I’ve gotten to know over the last 8 years of playing this sport, it truly has been a pleasure to compete with and against you. Volleyball doesn’t end here, and I can’t wait to continue losing to you.
Final thought 1: Club volleyball Twitter is so much worse than it used to be. I follow like 6 good accounts (you all know who you are). We’re club volleyball players, we really should not be taking ourselves too seriously.
Today marks 2 things: me winning the jersey from @IllinoisMensVB and my last day of 3 years of running this Twitter account into the ground (or into the upper echelon of club volleyball Twitter, depending on who you ask). I’ve got some final thoughts before I pass on the torch.
We lost to Dayton but we win in proximity to Cane’s consumption. I feel like this is a yearly occurrence so I’m glad my four years of ORVVC conference championships have concluded according to tradition 🙏
