@hexie14 @MattZeitlin The reason people play games over long periods of time are largely social. Think about all games that have existed in history, from chess to soccer to video games. Why would the latter be different?

I'm a gamer, today i am mostly a solo gamer. It is quickly losing its charm as a solo endeavor, and when i look back, my best memories of gaming were rarely solo. Even if it was a solo game, a lot of the best times were spent talking about those games with friends. I can't be the only one

If you don't think gaming is fundamentally social, ask yourself why anyone plays Chess. Seriously...do you think Magnussen practices chess for years and years so that he can play against chess AI in his basement? Achievement has to be socialized in gaming -- that's a fundamental driving force.

video games have gone down the wrong path. they were fundamentally a social experience for most of history, but are now solo-basement endeavors with low-fi comms with anonymous strangers. we are only nostalgic about the time spent in basements with friends in multiplayer, that then extended for a period into online play with the same friends.

the only ones actually solving for this is roblox. not understanding that gaming is fundamentally social is the reason AAA is failing

@omgsidewalks You are spiking your blood sugar and when it crashes in 2 hours your body panics and forces you to eat more. Whatever you’re eating for breakfast, it likely has way too much carbs in it. Should be 20% of macros or less
