Founded by @wilhelmvdwalt. Meos is making the next generation of private peronalised applications possible by giving you control over your personal data
We are working hard to allow users to run their own internet applications without the dependency on some giant internet company.

Each Meos Personal Cloud has its own #git repository where you can have unlimited private and public repositories. Oh, and when we say #private we mean it. https://t.co/FaTMXgDFWz
This blog post by @ziburski is highly recommended. It has taken the concept of data abuse by big tech companies and looked at how we could address it from a design perspective. https://t.co/QZhtwqoyRN
Privacy Tip #5) Mailvelope
@mailvelope is a browser extension that performs #encryption and decryption of emails in the browser. Its killer feature is a online repository of public keys which makes it easy to encrypt messages to other Mailvelope users. https://t.co/iwJW27lFmf
The first version of the #internet was dumb and was built to make information easier to share. The current version of the internet is built to make information easier to gather. @meos_app is building the next version of the internet.
If Facebook replaced their servers with humans in order to offer their service, it would still be pretty useful but unbelievably creepy. This blog walks through what that would look like. It's the kind of thought experiment that stays with for a few days. https://t.co/pQfVHSBgft
Email is probably the most prolific application of the #internet. It is for this reason that it was the first app we added. With the Meos Personal Cloud you get your very own private email server with advanced features. Get it today: https://t.co/d7mhr9YEbu
Meos was founded because we are producing more and more personal data with no obvious place for that data to go and no easy way for that data to work together. #privacy#personalData
Privacy Tip #4) ZCash
Believed by many to be the most secure and private way to transfer money. It leverages blockchain technology for decentralisation and Zero Knowledge Proofs for privacy.

Cloud file storage is one of the fundamental applications of "the cloud". Thats why it's one of the first applications we added to the Meos Personal Cloud. Its all the things you would expect from a Meos app. #Private#Personal#Meos ๐
@ProtonMail have been offering private email for years, and recently published this blog post with great tips on Internet Privacy. It is highly recommended if you want to learn more about both the why and the how of Internet Privacy.

This post is a good introduction into how privacy has found its way from a basic desire humans have into something present in common law. It demonstrates how humans tend to pick convenience over privacy and also how privacy has changed in the 21st century

Privacy Tip #3) DuckDuckGo
@DuckDuckGo handles over 30 million searches per day. It never tracks its users and their ads are based on the present search as opposed to user profiles. It is highly trusted and one of the most reliable #private Google alternatives.
Most people don't ascribe a lot of value to online privacy because they don't feel they have anything to hide. This is in many cases valid, but as a society, we need to ensure that #privacy is always within reach. If only online privacy was the norm instead of the exception.
