@Saygood19288595 @trashyrodent @HerrNimmermehr @DibbleSaharicus to keep in mind other factors beyond preservation since many zoos can preserve animals but not all do so in their best interest. accredited zoos are great since theyre usually good abt this but even then keep an eye on what they do rather than take their word at face value ^_^

@Saygood19288595 @trashyrodent @HerrNimmermehr @DibbleSaharicus ooh i actually like a lot of the points you made. reintroducing animals can be difficult, and often times, unsafe for the animals. and to be fair, many zoos have come a long way and do serve an important purpose in species preservation. but even so, I think that it's important-

@tinysag @trashyrodent @HerrNimmermehr @DibbleSaharicus many zoos do claim this but very few actually do or intend to when they can. even so, im not 100% against zoos, since there are a lot of good ones (such as most accredited zoos) but I still think it's important to call out the problematic issues in order to keep improving it

@trashyrodent @HerrNimmermehr @DibbleSaharicus boiled down to whether or not the species can preserved especially considering how many zoos do not prioritize the animals happiness despite appearing to care on the outside. Anyway if u wanna help animals, keep advocating for zoos to do better ✌🏽4/4

@trashyrodent @HerrNimmermehr @DibbleSaharicus so unless a zoo can properly keep up with a species beyond simply something for people to spectate, i would rather them not preserve the species. this isn't to say that zoos can't improve nor that the vandals were in the right at all, but the debate about zoos should not be 3/?
