"Each time election day rolls around, we are faced with a difficult decision. Which candidate is the lesser of the two evils?"

BEARING WITNESS is the theme of this year’s @PCC_2023 and the goal of @ActionClimatePA’s #TourdePAC. In Clairton, PA David Meckel brought us a sample of the residue that covers his windowsill every day in the shadow of @U_S_Steel’s heavily polluting Clairton Coke Works.
Conflicts of interest are EVERYWHERE in our Legislature. A gas lawyer Senator writes environmental bills (Yaw), a marijuana insurance salesman Senator writes corporate crap cannabis bills (Gebhard) etc. etc.

If you are on the fence about becoming a climate activist please, please, please come down onto the right side of history. The movement, and the planet, need you so incredibly much. You are more powerful than you can ever know. Every activist started out as someone on that fence.
You are the Chair of the Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee. You also work a side job as an attorney for a law firm that represents gas companies. Why should we listen to anything you say? Why would we trust you?
High ranking elected officials constantly tell us that we're rude for telling the truth about corruption and taking nonviolent direct action. You know what's rude... Taking bribes everyday right in front of our faces and then waging policy violence on us and causing suffering!!!
“We hear all the time from lawmakers, ‘Gifts don’t affect the way I vote, nobody could ever influence me,’” Pollack said. “It’s fascinating that the first human beings in history who have no capacity for corruption all work together in the same building.”

If you want things to change, join a movement. Become a leader who is clear, competent, capable, committed, and confident. Take action every day in coordinated nonviolence campaigns. Things change because movements move things forward. https://t.co/GXRazYBpYZ
Important reminder from Howard Zinn:
“Protest beyond the law is not a departure from democracy; it is absolutely essential to it.
Voting is easy and marginally useful, but it is a poor substitute for democracy, which requires direct action by concerned citizens.”
To get the gift ban across the finish line, we need to get organized. We need folks in every district calling up their rep and asking them to co-sponsor HB484. Everything you need is up on our website https://t.co/l1zezOKko5. (5/6)

We are exploited and oppressed by two corporate controlled parties whose only answer is to blame the other party.
If you want to prove us wrong @PaHouseDems, show us that you're different from @PAHouseGOP by passing the GIFT BAN and making it illegal for corporations to bribe you
what if instead of telling people to go buy brita filters…we had a government that put #peopleoverprofits and stopped allowing companies to poison our water!?🤯
