I become concerned when I see incorrect messages being spread on social media. I don't mean to single out anyone in particular, but I have been noticing a lot of messages along the lines of "Coding isn't for everyone," and I think it's important to address this.

Is there any profession on this planet that is suitable for everyone? If someone lacks empathy or patience, they probably shouldn't pursue a career in nursing. We can all agree that not everyone has the qualities needed to become a nurse, but I don't hear nurses promoting this kind of exclusivity.

Coding or software development is a profession that anyone can learn if they find it interesting. It is important to avoid entitlement and gatekeeping within our community. This is especially crucial when addressing women, as we need more women in this field. Women were among the first programmers in the early 20th century and made significant contributions to the industry.

Instead of amplifying messages like this, let's remind everyone that Software Development is a profession that you can enter if you have an interest in it. There is an opportunity to make a really good living in an industry that has more jobs than workers. If you can please amplify this by quoting this tweet with the following ❤️
