Should a girl's education depend on whether she can afford sanitary pads?
In Uganda, nearly 1 in 3 girls miss school during menstruation, and many face barriers to education, health, and dignity simply because they cannot access safe menstrual products.
Period poverty is not just a personal challenge, it is a public issue that affects education, gender equality, health, and economic development.
Join us this evening for an important X Space conversation:

If you wanna change the world, start by making every child have access to education.
Thank you @Restless_Uganda for partnering with us during the #Kole education walk.
Education is more than just going to school — it’s a lifelong journey. From classrooms to universities, and into communities where learning creates change.
Together with partners @meraki_ug , we participated in The Kole Education Campaign where voices came together to reaffirm education as a pathway to transformation.
When we invest in holistic learning, we invest in stronger, empowered communities.

Today, we had the opportunity to visit #Olive Primary School alongside our partners from #Wezesha Girls Network. The session was filled with inspiration as partners shared powerful messages with learners, encouraging them to be kind, protect, mentor, and educate the girl child.
Last week, our Executive Director had the pleasure of attending the 3rd Lightup Impact Conference in Nairobi ,a powerful gathering focused on shifting power to grassroots leaders driving gender equality and climate action.

The Kole Education Walk is happening on 13th December, let's raise our voices in unison. Proceeds will help establish mobile libraries, create SRH spaces, and support children under Meraki sponsorship through the procurement of sanitary pads, scholastic materials, school fees.
Happy to have been part of this cause aimed at celebrating, Empowering and Protecting the Girls.
Kudos to members of @WezeshaGirls for making this happen.
Girls are speaking, dreaming, laughing and reminding us that when you invest in her voice, you invest in the future.
We’re not just hosting a space we’re building a movement of fearless girls.

Empowering girls starts with belief.
It begins when we believe in them, encourage them to believe in themselves, and inspire others to believe in them too.
When girls learn and grow, they become strong, confident leaders and when boys stand beside them as allies, we all succeed.
