@4ChitsNGiggles Good recap! I think 1st place conflict rewards are still very good, they just generally LOOK worse, but they’re typically not actually worse. Because some of the value of winning is “hidden” in the battle icon, which might always parlay into a Victory Point.

@Jorge_VanGogh @direwolf doesn’t activate Gruesome Sacrifice (“Lose two of your troops in the Conflict -> [effects]). For Gruesome Sacrifice, you need to play the card during combat and the troops are lost as a cost for the effects; you can’t wait until the conflict resolves.

@Jorge_VanGogh @direwolf Yes, this means you are losing troops. However, whether this activates an Intrigue card depends how it’s worded. Taking two cards from the Immortality expansion as examples, it can activate Harvest Cells (“when you lose at least three troops at the end of a Conflict”) but�� 1/2

@kostantisx1 No problem. And to clarify, if they had an Intrigue card in their hand that let them draw a card from their deck, they could play that Intrigue card, draw into a card with an Agent icon, and proceed to take an Agent turn.

@kostantisx1 Normally all abilities are mandatory. But the arrow icon is defined in the rulebook as optional, so you don’t need to spend spice to recruit troops with Fremen Camp.
