Fascinating afternoon at the innovation showcase, getting a greater understanding of how virtual and augmented reality can be integrated into clinical practice. Thank you @OUHospitals for hosting.

After reflecting on last week I am proud to see how far I’ve come with my public speaking. Being terrified to present to a room of 10 at uni to presenting at AHP day in front of a large room full of amazing professionals. Pretty brave I’d say #BeBraveBeBoldMakeWaves
Multidisciplinary working of AHPs in practice- making it real with a patient case scenario showing how much person centred meaningful activities can make a difference! 🏑#BeBraveBeBoldMakeWaves
A year ago today I started my journey in paediatrics- two redeployments and a global pandemic later I’ve accepted a band 6 children’s community physio position.
It’s been a whirlwind but I’m excited about this next step in my career.

@gds115gds@rachelkyte1 thanks guys!! It was an emerging practitioner module with oxford brooks through my trust, I haven’t chosen the rest of them yet. I need to figure out an area to focus on first but I’ll get there!
Passing my first masters module is the little bit of positive news that was needed during this challenging time!
One step closer to getting that full masters 👩🏼🎓
Weight session at lunch then run around with my #AHPsActive partner, apparently it’s only acceptable to run with the biggest stick we can find. @WeAHPs#AHPs#WeActiveChallenge
Starting a new job in the middle of a pandemic was never going to be easy.
My first month as a children’s physio has shown me I have A LOT to learn but I have never been so excited.
I think I might have found my specialty

@jessica_wOT@WeAHPs@southernscampi@Jordan_FScottOT @RobTheOT I spent yesterday running after this one and doing some baking! Got a good arm work out using the traditional method of a wooden spoon to mix my brownie mixture! Today is looking like a long dog walk to see family #AHPsActive
A sad farewell to my rotations, cannot thank my team enough for getting me through this pandemic!
On to my next chapter, finally time to start calling myself a paediatric physiotherapist 🥂

In the second month of lockdown, the media spotlight has regularly shone on physiotherapy.
Rehabilitation has featured prominently, and physios have also provided much-needed advice to the public during lockdown.
Catch up with the coverage highlights.

Couldn’t have said it better myself, proud to be a community physio

One study reported that only 20% of boys and 7% of girls, during or shortly after cancer treatment, met the recommended minimum 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous PA a day (Braam et al., 2015). However, regular physical activity for children with cancer is very beneficial.
thank you so much to the @WhiteHartHN for the fantastic home delivery Roast dinner and the villagers of Curridge who nominated Joanna @mercerphysio & I for the Generous Keyworker giveaway. The food is always fantastic & never disappoints. Finally, A feel good weekend. 💕
Clapping for carers had a new meaning tonight
I wasn’t just clapping whilst at home with my family
Tonight I was with a patient listening and watching her community coming together in a time of darkness
Neighbours taking the time to show they care about her and our NHS
