Small businesses are the heartbeats of communities, that is why https://t.co/61xRy4hDf3 is here to help digitize and allow newly opened businesses the chance to #wakesetgo get support!
People think advertising is a crappy business compared to subscriptions…
But did you know that Facebook makes more per user than Netflix?
Charging people money for something isn’t the only way to make money.
There are many different ways to monetize.
In many cases, the ugliest solutions tend to be the sexiest from a financial standpoint.
It’s just like my ad agency, NP Digital.
A lot of work may not be wowing like you see in a Super Bowl commercial. But performance marketing produces a massive ROI.
It’s why we are 750 plus people and still growing in a bad economy.
Don’t focus on the sexy, the money is in the ugly.
To the new entrepreneurs who think they are losing because they haven’t raised millions of dollars and aren’t generating millions in revenue…
You are wrong!
It doesn’t matter how good your idea is or how talented you are.
You’re taking one big factor for granted…
Time!
Let me explain…
If you look at most big companies, they have been around for a while.
Not just a few years or even 10 years… they’ve been around for a while.
Apple was founded in 1976
Microsoft was founded in 1975
Google was founded in 1998
Heck over the last few years, everyone has been talking about Tesla and how Elon just blew up.
But no one talks about their struggles…
Oh, and by the way, Tesla isn’t a new company, it wasn’t an overnight success. It was founded in 2003… it is 21 years old.
And that Model S you see, it came out in 2012. 9 years after they were founded.
No matter how good you are at building products or even marketing, you can’t take time for granted.
Time helps build a brand.
Time helps build systems and processes.
Time helps build the right team to accomplish your goals.
Be patient, it’s the only way you’ll become an overnight success.
@ctwtn@brianne2k True there should’ve been definitive goals, but as far as reach and awareness goal accomplished, this is a new market they are testing, and I wouldn’t bet the results probably won’t track until another 6-9 months, but there needs to be funnels in place.
There is no formula for marketing!
Someone’s “million dollar formula” won’t produce the results you were expecting.
What works for one person or one company probably won’t work for you.
Even if they are in the same industry as you, copying them typically won’t produce the same results.
There are external factors like timing or luck that you can’t control.
So how do you get more followers or traffic or sales when you can’t just copy your competition?
You have to experiment.
Every week try something new.
From posting different types of content or do something edgy… try something that others aren’t doing.
Just like how Tesla posted a video of them racing a Porsche and winning while they were towing a Porsche.
Or how Richard Branson had a blimp fly over London with the message “BA can’t get it up” when British Airways was having problems of getting their wheel up.
Or how I gave away marketing tools for free when my competition was charging $100 a month for them.
Look, most of your experiments will fail, but some will succeed.
It’s a numbers game.
Just double down on the winners. That’s how you win.
Yesterday a video went viral on TikTok when a woman shared the inside of her car after it caught on fire
Including her Stanley cup - still in tact and with ice in it!!!
The president of Stanley stitched the video in < 24 hours offering to replace her cup…..and her car.
This company will now get likely 1B earned media impressions and positive brand awareness + knowledge of the quality of their product through this one quick response and 30 second video.
1. Listen to your social team
2. Moved fast
3. Care about your audience
Great marketing move, Stanley!!!
I love how @dominos created the 1 million dollar pizza emergency campaign in lieu of the student loan crisis- like I get it millions aren’t getting paid so let’s give pizza 🍕
