@JyotirAstrology my biggest joy in astrological study is being able to quantify time in cosmic language. to distinguish and dignify every present moment bc the present is all we have and it’s so beautiful because it can never be cosmically replicated! the timeline is endlessly regenerating art!
@ThePagodaYoda saturn mercury & nn in the 5th. hateee being told what to do! so much so that i even have a character which comes out as an embodied emotion everytime it’s triggered by someone implicitly telling me what to do
Mercury is the messenger of the gods. It is how the self (god) is expressed in the material world. The message being communicated is your ultimate truth, your divine nature. Mercury is how your divine nature expresses itself
mars in cancer is sensitive to what feels emotionally safe, to boundaries which are deeply felt.
the gift is in the fine tuned refinement of a life deeply in rhythm with the agent’s needs and wants, but this can mean energy depletion is a way this gift communicates
as a mars in cancer, i can get easiy exhausted especially with emotional drainage.
but i want to emphasise that each placement is a gift - it’s about discovering what the gift is and how to work with it.
Indicative of "low energy " natal placements:
- sun in the 12th house ( loss of energy)
- Mars in Cancer / Libra / Taurus ( easily exhausted)
- Sun in Libra / aquarius ( Sun is Vitality, but fallen / detriment)
- Sun conjunct south node
- No fire sign placements
@thedigitaldash_ hey guys the great thing about looking for a passion-based job though is not only your own fulfilment, but also you are changing the structure of the economy just by doing so. more jobs will want to appeal to people’s passion rather than serving an abstracted corporate need
@8bills_ i like it in one word too. until i find a catch all term for the 12th… maybe dissolution (it’s a wip haha)… i conceptualise it this broader way on their axis of service. i like your point, the 6th being just beneath the horizon comes to mind, unseen but reflective, an emanation
the simplest way to explain the 6th house is Devotion.
people say work, health, illness, service, daily routines, pets. all are based in the idea of whether you are devoted in the everyday, it’s devotion in the detail, in the moment to moment experience.
@8bills_ yes! i think we need more unifying terms for sense-making. i think of the 6th as devotion to the material, to the self, the 12th as devotion to the beyond, releasing or sacrificing the self
@es0tericca as someone with a shravana ascendant, it’s true in that it feels like my life’s trajectory is a deep seeking of wisdom and endless learning. social connection is incidental to that, a means to an end not the goal in and of itself
there’s no need to be afraid of ‘difficult’ houses in astrology. difficult houses are simply tests, messengers for your highest alignment. if you are in alignment with your highest good, there’s no need for the challenges
health, work, pets require devotion, it’s a constant checking in and maintenance of the body, of duty. an absence of this devotion signifies illness, everyday obstacles - which is why the 6th house can be ‘difficult’, it tests your devotion. and routines are devotion in action.

hence one of my fav poems being ‘on work’
“when you work you fulfil a part of earth’s furthest dream, assigned to you when that dream was born”
“what is it to work with love?
It is to weave the cloth with threads drawn from your heart, as if your beloved were to wear that cloth
This new moon eclipse, which is my lunar return, i’m also gonna have mars exactly conjunct my natal mars & jupiter, jupiter exact on my natal north node, saturn and mercury. jesus
