While hundreds of thousands of Georgians lose health care coverage, Rick Jackson opposes Medicaid expansion.

Breaking News: Leaders in the Georgia House of Representatives said they would not take up redistricting during a legislative session that had been set to start this afternoon — and that had been called expressly to erase majority-Black districts. https://t.co/fXYkl9fPmJ
BREAKING: Georgia House Republicans won't redraw the state's maps during a special session that was set to begin today.
"Changes to Georgia's maps should take place only when members of the General Assembly and citizens have been given ample opportunity to...engage in meaningful discussion."
At the Georgia State Capitol where hundreds of voters are concerned the Republican-led legislature will redraw its congressional and legislative maps today at a special session called by Rep. Governor Brian Kemp.
"Something as fundamental as voters getting to choose their leaders ought not to be done in the dark, ought not happen in back rooms.” - @TanyaForGeorgia

Georgia's redistricting session begins today. It's especially salient in Georgia, where the Capitol includes a statue of the Rev. MLK Jr. and sits blocks from where he lived, preached and led the movement that yielded the Voting Rights Act of 1965. https://t.co/dfmm5LVKPO
Day 1 of Georgia’s GOP special session to rig the voting maps.
Senator @ReverendWarnock kicks things off w/ @FairFightAction, @BlackVotersMtr, and other civil rights leaders:
“You want to redraw the maps? You have the power to do to it…but keep Dr. King’s name out your mouth.”
The Senate is in session today but @SenatorWarnock said he felt it was more important to fly to Georgia to speak against the redistricting special session he said could dilute Black political representation.
Sen. Warnock at the Capitol today: “The governor has called this special session of the legislature because Republicans do not want to be held accountable.” #gapol
Sen. Jon @Ossoff is out with a new video setting the stage for his showdown with Rep. Mike Collins, the newly minted GOP nominee. It doesn’t hold back, depicting Collins as a scandal-plagued Trump loyalist who “who rode his daddy’s name from business to Congress.” #gapol
Donald Trump’s handpicked candidate Mike Collins is a notorious bigot, antisemite, and extremist currently under federal investigation for the illegal misuse of tax dollars. Collins, who is only a congressman because his daddy was a congressman, voted to double health insurance premiums for more than a million Georgians, for the Iran War, and for the Trump tariffs.
At the beginning of the year, @SenatorWarnock's YouTube was averaging around 7K views per month. Today it’s averaging 1M. I talked to @charlie_2221, the Senator's Deputy Communications Director, about their growth playbook. A few insights below:
New reporting reveals Republican Gov. Brian Kemp pushed $27M in school security contracts to a company run by his best friend Daniel Dooley.
Dooley then gave $100,000 of the taxpayer money to Kemp's PAC, which has poured money into GOP Senate candidate Derek Dooley's campaign.
