How is a girl supposed to get work done when the coffee shop she's at is playing the throwback Jonas Brothers music, "This is What Dreams are Made of" from the Lizzie McGuire movie, Aly & AJ, and old Miley Cyrus??? All I can think about is how badly I want to karaoke and dance rn
funny (and v random) thought just came to mind that I have to share...the show, "How I Met Your Mother", taught me how to distinguish "affect" from "effect" ...true story. Thanks, Marshall Erickson
@KyleeSLogan Kylee, I think 2020 is going to end with a big snow storm because we need another excuse to never leave home for an extended period of time this year🙃😉
Think about how you can elevate and center the black experience in your curricula, year around, not just a negative stories of oppresssion but lift up stories and examples of resistance, affirmation, and empowerment.
If you go to grew up going to church, you know this song. If that isn’t your thing or your tradition, no worries, you can still bask in this (literally) timeless melody. Pro tip: I was feeling it on this pass and decided to just roll on into singing, so keep watching if you want.
Y’all, story time from the other day:
Long story short for the first part, I had to go the DMV unexpectedly because of stolen license plates. Although, I had to go there anyways because I needed a new ID, so it was a blessing in disguise.
So I retake it and she tells me it looks “much better,” all is well, and I leave the DMV. Moral of the story though, why couldn’t I be silly but other people could??😅 a disappointing and very embarrassing moment to say the least lol
The lady looks at it and says, “yeah, this isn’t going to work” and proceeds to tell me it looks like I have elephant ears coming out of my head and that I have to retake it (way to kick a girl when she’s down, amiright?)
