executive director of Baptist Women in Ministry, providing support and advocacy efforts so that women will thrive as they minister and lead among Baptists
@pastordmack Thank you Pastor McKissic for speaking boldly and prophetically on the matter of women’s value to God, God’s people, and God’s work. The SBC has much to repent for and this is a chance to do one right thing.
@pastordmack@megbasham Thank you for your support of our organization’s message. We want Baptist women to know that they are fully valued by God. We’re glad to have partners helping us share it broadly.
@colinsmo Dear Baptist women: You are created in the image of the limitless God. You and all of your gifts are fully valued. There is more than enough work to do in spreading the gospel for all of us to join in.
@colinsmo Our organization will continue to spread the message among egalitarians and complementarians alike that women and all their gifts are fully valued by God.
@DennyBurk Yes, that is our organization’s history. We are proud to support Baptist women pastors and ministers in all denominations including those who are still in the SBC, or falsely targeted even when their churches left the SBC a long time ago.
@scotmcknight As the leader of the organization that put this letter out, we are more than happy to have the support of all who advocate for women’s equality. The letter is not trying to take on an SBC debate, but bring a positive message of freedom to Baptist women.
@megbasham Our letter is an encouragement to all Baptist women that they are valued and free despite the SBC, it's not trying to change the SBC's position. We are grateful for all support from advocates for women's equality in the church like @scotmcknight
@BethMooreLPM@BaptistWomen welcomes you to the community of Baptist women in ministry who formerly were Southern Baptists, but who have found affirmation and value of our gifts elsewhere. May your ministry increase!
