the audacity for him to say this when he could've given his spot in ts to emerging filipino talent that people can actually root for. instead, he overstayed and made the sole filipino team a laughingstock, giving the philippine scene a bad rep.
Not surprised. This is not the first big issue that Tab faced. Check the Facebook timeline of his wife during the pandemic. Madaming context clues doon sa mga FB Posts ng asawa niya.
But I guess winning championships is more important for the school admin and their backers 🤷🏽♀️
“i need an answer. a clear answer from philippines.. from ateneo blue eagle.. the coach.. just please i just need an answer. tell me what happened to my son. their stories are not the same.” — divine’s mom
his story resonated w countless young filipinos who have nothing to lean on but their talent and determination. no connections, no famous last names, just relentless hard work, grit, and a dream of helping his family.
my heart aches for him. for his family. for every rene.
admu’s statement on rene baterbonia’s death was deeply insensitive. wdym his mother, his family, had not been properly informed before the university made a public statement?! the family deserved to hear it first & be given time to process the loss. prestigious univ pero ganito?!
Seeing his siblings now makes it all painful. They robbed this teen not only his future, but his family's as well.
May justice be served to ordinary people.
Rene is us.
