A common misconception in biotech is that prescribers (doctors, PAs, and nurse practitioners) control market uptake of new drugs. They actually have far less power than most investors assume. Anyone can write a script. But if payers won’t cover it (or impose prior authorization, step therapy, or prohibitive copays), patients almost never get the drug.
The true bottlenecks in the biotech market are payers and Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs), not prescribers.
@seedy19tron@E_McClintock_ That's a straw man.
Signing off. Thanks for the discussion and sorry I upset you with my actual argument ("don’t over-claim superiority without direct comparative data").
@seedy19tron@E_McClintock_ Oh, boy. I see where this is going.
I'm "blatantly misrepresenting things" by saying that obe cannot claim superiority over existing treatments, especially without H2H data.
I'll disengage since you are getting quite upset.
@E_McClintock_@seedy19tron Cannot really claim superiority without H2H data. And, cross-trial comparison limitations aside, induction data is on par with existing treatments.
@TheBenStadler@seedy19tron I did, on SA.
This is X. It is social media/shorthand format.
Oh, it's "silly." Ok. Thanks for that.
Alright, well, I gotta get back to work on my silly model on another name, so I am signing off on this great discussion we had, Ben. Take care!
@JackMan724444@BioRichesRags@peopleofmelos@seedy19tron lol.. a "hater." I've literally been BUY (immediately following P3 UC induction data at $68/share) --> HOLD (after it became apparent that the company was going it alone) on the name, and I am called a "hater."
@TheBenStadler@seedy19tron Yes, AROUND $92.
But was $91.59/share in March. I then bumped up POS following maintenance data and the value is now $95.81.
Both of those values are around $92 (shorthand for X).
Again, details are on SA.
What exactly are you arguing?
@E_McClintock_@seedy19tron More feasible pricing assumptions.
You have to assume heavy rebates in order to win formulary placement against entrenched, now-biosimilar-eroded TNFs and against incumbent orals
@BioRichesRags@peopleofmelos@seedy19tron It means that I apparently can't become familiar with other lines of work/knowledge.
Actually, it's a very low IQ way of dismissing anything I say.
