@paulg The most energized and organized grassroots elements of the party are pronouns and land acknowledgement people. I don’t see how they can make a clean break from this stuff while that remains true
So many humans suffer from mood and chronic fatigue symptoms yet we never take seriously the role environment and companionship play in our wellness. Look at this dog, struggling with medically induced mood/energy problems that were utterly transformed through friendship with a duck
A golden retriever suffering from seizures seemingly lost her spunk — until one day her owners brought home a miracle cure — a duck named Louie. @SteveHartmanCBS is On the Road.
Here’s the next screen to correct the activity. I have literally never logged “activity”, “workout”, or “swim” yet here they are in place of my actual recent activities
All I do is play tennis, lift, run, and walk. Google health will recommend me every other activity under the sun except the one I actually did (tennis in this case)
@IGN I’m sympathetic to going through brutal layoffs like this but if the industry could figure out making 360-level games on reasonable budgets that sell well enough it would be tremendously healthier than the insane bloated costs and expectations plaguing AAA studios today
@ReggBrown75@scrollvoid@gabriel1@OpenAI I had the same reaction. The fact that an openAI insider feels this product is even worth building a company for feels bearish for AGI timelines
No I still weigh everything. I use Google health and just dictate everything I ate in one message to their ai chat. It does a mostly good job logging it all in one go. For example “log 175g poached chicken breast, and 250g boiled red potatoes”. No fussing with manual entry per food
Your hair thinning was probably caused by one of the factors you mentioned and not follicle miniaturization via dht which is the root cause for most male pattern baldness. It’s great that you got good results without finasteride but it’s misleading to suggest someone with typical pattern baldness can retain hair without dht inhibition
As a career consumer product person, it’s been fascinating to watch Nikita’s tenure at X. Based on his past companies you would think he’d come in guns blazing on wild new features and innovative left field ideas. Instead what we got was someone who seemingly rolled up his sleeves and got into the trenches addressing all of the core, unsexy mechanics that underpin the entire X ecosystem. I already respected Nikita based on his work on tbh and Gas but seeing a product guy at his level willing to spend day after day beating the drum against spam and slop was so motivating. I hope other PMs can learn from his example here of never being below the unglamorous work necessary to deliver a truly exceptional product.
Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to pass the torch and demote myself to my natural state: a poster. I'll be stepping back from leading product for 𝕏 and will continue on as an advisor.
Serving the X community has been the privilege of a lifetime. X is, and will remain, the most important communication technology in history. But running this app is a 24/7 job and it's now time for me to take a breather.
The app is seeing unprecedented growth in new users & engagement. We continue to break records every month. We've climbed 70 spots in the App Store since this time last year.
And in the last 400 days, we rebuilt almost every aspect of X: the Timeline, the Android app, onboarding, notifications, chat and more.
We also launched nearly 30 new products while protecting the integrity of the town square: becoming the first app to show Country-of-Origin on profiles and mounting defenses against AI bots. There's certainly much more work to be done, but our foundation is stronger than ever.
None of this would have been possible without the incredible team here. The next leaders will take X to even greater heights with @benjitaylor on design, @singhai on core product engineering and @dinkin_flickaa on mobile engineering -- among many other great people.
Thank you to Elon and the X team for welcoming me into the company. See you on the Timeline.
@timmaguire42@LeeKuanYimby@DanielLurie The city tennis courts are a public good. Permits are required for paid coaching to ensure this public resource isn’t being monopolized by individuals for their own private for-profit endeavors. You’re welcome to disagree with that but I think it’s a sensible policy
