Love this clip, very informative. I'm completely in favor of keeping around paper ballots for security reasons. We are not ready for all-online voting. I could talk about this stuff all day! #LUC247
Sorry, digital voting advocates, the 2020 election just proved why using paper ballots is still the most secure way to tally an election.
Former CISA director Christopher Krebs explains why:

@agreene2212 Yes, it's super tough. And without things like free/subsidized education or job training, it's very difficult for lots of people whose jobs have been replaced to get into a new industry. Such a shame and failing on the part of companies and governments.
wow! I admit this is fascinating, but I worry that automation will further put people out of jobs, and society/government is not evolving quickly enough to account for that #LUC247
How did Alibaba sell $56 billion of products in one day?
The workforce of the future is humans and machines; and % of machines increasing.
A look inside @AlibabaGroup's smart warehouse, where robots do 70% of the work, with 300% more efficiency #CES2021
@DrennonErin This just recently happened with someone pretending to be our CFO!๐We had a big warning from our dept. head alerting us that this is a total scam. Haven't received any emails myself but I could definitely someone in my division falling for it.
I haven't been the victim of hacking or phishing, but I have been alerted that lots of my old passwords on various websites were included in large security breaches. I have done my best to create stronger passwords in recent years. #LUC247
@lleon_luc I was thinking it might be time for me to get a new prescription. It's been a few years and I'm not getting any younger + SO much screen time this past year. Yikes!
I use Telegram messenger, and saw their announcement that over 25 million people signed up for Telegram in the past few days. Wondering if those pushed off of Twitter & Parler ended up causing those numbers. If so, will Telegram will take any action? #LUC247
"The problem is not that Facebook has the right to do so, but thatโowing to its acquisitions and unhindered growthโits users have virtually nowhere else to go and are stuck dealing with increasingly problematic rules and automated content moderation." #LUC247
There are no easy answers to the problems of platform moderation, but I think @jilliancyork has the best approach here. Rather than repeal Section 230 or put the government in charge of moderation, let's start by creating the conditions for competition. https://t.co/e2vH82r6Iv
I use RCN for internet service. Price is better when compared to AT&T, service is the same (decent). I recall learning a few years back that RCN had stored customer information, like passwords, in plain text which is concerning, but they have since changed that. #LUC247
My favorite way to learn about new tech trends is twitter & being friends with a bunch of tech-y types. Often times I feel like I learn about new things passively through seeing what others are talking about on social media #LUC247
Via Gizmodo: "If someone is interested in a general gauge of their calorie burn for trends over time or for daily comparisons, then a wearable is an acceptable tool. And one should not overlook wearables as motivators to getting people moving." https://t.co/46NNYLlK6Y #LUC247
I have printed photos in the past, but this is now very rare for me. My phone photos are automatically backed up on Google photos. Older photos are on an external hard drive. #LUC247
I primarily use my phone to take photos, but I also cannot part with my digital camera even though I never use it anymore. I also have a Fujifilm Instax that I've used to take photos of parties/events because it's fun to have a physical memento. #LUC247
Gospel: Today a man with leprosy says to Jesus, If you want to, you can heal me (Lk 5). Jesus responds ฮฮญฮปฯ (Thelo): I wish it. I desire it. I will it. Jesus's desire to heal leaps off the page. God wishes, desires and wills healing for us, and for our community. God is with us.
#LUC247 Beyond the clamor about this, there are real substantive issues around big tech's responsibility (or lack thereof) to control content and judge when someone is causing active harm.
Breaking: Twitter said it is permanently suspending President Trump's account, citing the risk of further incitement of violence https://t.co/RSrpPAKEDN
No joke, I had a nightmare about info security breaches last night after reading about current events. It melded into a dream about physical security threats in my own home! Guess it's weighing on my mind more than usual now.
@RyanBenoit20 I find myself very skeptical of smart home features. Am I just a luddite in not wanting to control my lights, heat/AC, security system with apps and touchpads? #LUC247
@KerrySchlaack I've been on Twitter for a long time now & I totally agree that it can be cathartic to vent about our world frustrations. I do find that I've had to take Twitter breaks because it stresses me out. I believe it's called doomscrolling #LUC247
