Today, during #Hyvääitsenäisyyspäivää #finnishindependenceday, I thanked a young #Finnish soldier for his service. I was also thinking about the service members and #veterans in my country, the #USA, while I'm heartbroken for the innocent military students in prison in #Turkiye.

20 Kasım Dünya Çocuk Hakları Günü'nde, Türkiye cezaevlerinde 12-18 yaş grubundaki çocuk tutuklu ve hükümlü sayısı Ekim 2025 itibarıyla 4.561'i aşmıştır.

Bu çocukların 1.234'ü hükümlü, 3.327'si ise tutuklu.

Anneleriyle birlikte kalan 0-6 yaş grubundaki çocuk sayısı 3 Kasım 2025 itibarıyla 822'ye ulaşmıştır. Bu çocukların 434'ü 0-3 yaş, 388'i ise 4-6 yaş grubunda olup, cezaevi şartları gelişimlerini olumsuz etkilemektedir.

2025 yılında, 20 Kasım Dünya Çocuk Hakları Günü'nde, Türkiye cezaevlerindeki bu çarpıcı ve acı tabloyu üzülerek sizlerle paylaşmak istedim.

Umuyor ve temenni ediyorum ki masumlar/haksızlığa uğrayanlar ayrımsız bir an önce özgürlüğüne kavuşur.

Bu, Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi’nin bir milletvekili tarafından gönderilen, ancak reddedilen bir taleptir.
Bir insanın, bir askerin, bir ailenin adalet talebinin reddidir.
Eşim hakkında Yargıtay Cumhuriyet Başsavcılığı tarafından verilen müebbet onama kararı, ne hukukla, ne vicdanla bağdaşmaktadır.
Bu karar, delilsiz bir dosyanın, şahitlerle sabit masumiyetin ve alt mahkemelerin beraat hükümlerinin yok sayılması anlamına gelmektedir.
TBMM’ye yaptığımız başvuru, adaletin en yüksek mercilerinden birine duyulan inancın göstergesiydi.
Ancak Meclis de talebimizi reddetti.
Yargılamamızı reddetti.
Komisyon incelemesini reddetti.
Ve biz, elimizde bir “kağıt parçası”yla, aslında bir ülkenin vicdanına seslenir hâle geldik.
Aslında bu fotoğrafı Yargıtay Cumhuriyet Başsavcılığı’nın önünde çekmeliydim;
ancak ülkemin adaletine olan inancım zedelendiği için, bugün bu duruşumu Adalet Bakanlığı’nın önünde sergilemek zorunda kaldım.
Bu, sessiz bir protesto değil — adaletin onuruna bir çağrıdır.
Ben bu kağıdı bir yenilginin değil, bir adalet çığlığının simgesi olarak tutuyorum.
Bu fotoğraf, sessiz bir isyanın, yasal sınırlar içinde direnen bir vatandaşın, hakkını aramaktan vazgeçmeyen bir eşin hikâyesidir.
Bugün Sayın Cumhurbaşkanımızdan beklentim, yalnızca bir dilektir:
Lütfen bu dosyalar, bu hayatlar, bu adalet çığlıkları bir kez daha incelensin.
Çünkü biz, devlete düşman değiliz.
Biz, adalete sığınan vatandaşlarız.
Bir ülkenin adaleti, yalnızca mahkeme duvarlarıyla değil,
vicdan sahibi insanlarla ayakta kalır.
Ve ben bugün burada, sadece kendi eşim için değil,
